Officer Shawndel Latham was among three officers named by the Brooklyn Defender Services as having been involved in the 'Jay Street incident of police brutality on October 25.' The legal defense organization said in their post that Latham's involvement was 'particularly troubling' adding that 'she was one of the officers who ripped the one-year-old child from the arms of Jazmine Headley.' Headley's story went viral last year when video of NYPD officers yanking her baby from her arms circulated late last year.
