A Nassau County Sheriff’s Office deputy was involved in a crash in Yulee on Wednesday night.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the deputy was driving on Amelia Concourse with the emergency lights and siren around 7:14 p.m. A 23-year-old sedan driver was traveling west in the right lane of State Road 200, approaching Chester Road.

The deputy stopped at the intersection with the lights and siren still activated.
The traffic on SR-200 also stopped to allow the deputy to pass through the intersection. FHP said the sedan did not stop and smashed into the left side of the deputy’s SUV.

The deputy was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Please join us in sending prayers and, or positive thoughts for his recovery 🙏🏻

“And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.”

BREAKING OVERNIGHT: One dead as police investigate reported shooting in Monrovia.
NEW: A key Boeing supplier that makes the fuselages for its popular 737 Max airplanes is laying off about 450 workers because production has slowed down ever since a panel flew off one of those airplanes operated by Alaska Airlines in midair in January.

A spokesman for Spirit AeroSystems confirmed the layoffs at its Wichita, Kansas, plant on Thursday that would trim its workforce of just over 13,000 people. Spirit is Boeing’s most important supplier on the 737s because it makes fuselages and installs door plugs like the one that flew off the plane. But it’s not clear whether Spirit or Boeing employees were the last ones to touch that panel.
