A brave firefighter, identified as Mike Altman, has died after suffering critical injuries while battling a massive 2-11 alarm apartment fire in Chicago.
Firefighter Altman was seriously burned over 90 % of his body while operating at a four story apartment building fire at 1757 W. North Shore Avenue, in Rogers Park on March 16, 2026. During the primary search Firefighter Altman fell through the floor into a room that was fully involved on the floor below. However, "no imminent threat" was never the standard. This was a nuclear threshold call not a counterterrorism warrant.

Historic Reformations at your FBI in 13 months-
Under President Trumpβs leadership weβve rebuilt this FBI into a faster, more effective, more accountable machine focused on protecting American citizens and crushing violent crime all over the country. But many of the reforms weβve implemented are things some Americans may have never read about:
-Expanded biometric collection overseas with foreign partners to intercept targets before they reach the Homeland - essential for national security and staying ahead of the threat
-Eliminated politicized threat-banding (i.e. white supremacy) & prioritized real overseas & domestic threats β aligning w/ NSPM-7. No more political targeting
-Sent 1,000 agents to the field & implemented a first-of-its-kind LE training to take resources out of the DC swamp and put them back where they belong, in Main Street America
-Sending hundreds of IAs and staff into the field from DC, supporting our 1811 redeployment
-Increased funding for & doubling the size of drone mitigation teams by 100βs - critical as drone technology advances
-Tasked with and successfully executed with our interagency partners to protect Americans at international Special Events like F1, Super Bowl, Club World Cup, and Olympics - all in preparation for World Cup 2026 here in the U.S.
-Creation of the 1st C-UAS school for local law enforcement based on President Trumpβs EO - a historic first of its kind school to help train our partners
-Increased funding for the Threats Screening Center (TSC), the FBIβs 24/7 call/data center that allows us to quickly identify threat actors and their activity to stay ahead. One of the first things we did when I was sworn in as Director was to strengthen the TSC's focus on border security and threats abroad
-Brought in SACs to reform IA & SOS intel positions β all to meet fieldβs intel support needs, so FBI field offices are driving operations with intelligence.
-Built AI working groups to initiate first test use of AI to assist in processing volumes of Nat Sec intel collections β making sure weβre prepared to harness AI to protect Americans
-Totally revamped and rebuilt the FBIβs Domestic Investigations and Operations Guide (DIOG) β the FBIβs primary operations and policy document β reducing volume by 40%, speeding up processes to allow FBI personnel on the front lines to move quicker and be more responsive to the American people
-Rebuilt the outdated Strategic Information & Operations Center (SIOC) into the Directorβs Strategic Information Center (DSIC) βa massive overhaul of the FBI's operational command and control node refocusing the FBI on high-speed, rapid dissemination of information. We now coordinate better, faster, and more effectively with partners than ever before.
-Partnerships with private sector technology leaders to rebuild our back-bone infrastructure systems- no more short fixes. Sustained, durational construction of new ecosystems to meet the modern times.

Donald Trump was overwhelmingly elected by the American people to be our President and Commander in Chief. As our Commander in Chief, he is responsible for determining what is and is not an imminent threat, and whether or not to take action he deems necessary to protect the safety and security of our troops, the American people and our country.
The Office of the Director of National Intelligence is responsible for helping coordinate and integrate all intelligence to provide the President and Commander in Chief with the best information available to inform his decisions.
After carefully reviewing all the information before him, President Trump concluded that the terrorist Islamist regime in Iran posed an imminent threat and he took action based on that conclusion.
DNI Tulsi Gabbard

VSO deputies made 133 arrests in Spring Break crowds this weekend: 84 in the Daytona Beach area and 49 in New Smyrna Beach.
Today Sheriff Chitwood briefed the media on concerns about Spring Break crowds.
There were no shootings on the beach this weekend. Widespread videos posted online this weekend falsely claimed crowds were running from shots fired. These videos were also picked up by news media. In reality, the panic started due to the sound of crushed water bottles or in some cases, people running from the tides.
Off the beach, the Daytona Beach PD has released information on 4 shooting investigations currently underway from this weekend.
In addition to Spring Break crowds in the Daytona and New Smyrna Beach areas, this weekend deputies handled crowds of about 2,000 people at the Hands Up Guns Down event at the Volusia County Fairgrounds and Big Daddy's Block Party in the Spring Hill area of DeLand, which both concluded safely.
Also unrelated to Spring Break, a South Daytona police officer was shot by a fleeing suspect on I-95, and a Port Orange police officer was fired on while responding to a disturbance call.
The Sheriff's Office is aware of upcoming Spring Break events being promoted on social media and is working with city government and law enforcement partners to address concerns. More information will be posted soon.

NEW: FoxNews has obtained a letter the WH sent to two GOP Senators today, explaining some of the concessions they are offering Democrats on DHS reforms. They include:
- DHS officers conducting immigration enforcement will wear clearly visible ID & provide it when asked.
- Use of bodycams will be expanded, video will be retained, and there will be increased Congressional oversight.
- DHS will avoid operations at sensitive locations except in extreme circumstances that have to do with public safety or national security. (This is already current policy).
- DHS wonβt deport US citizens or arrest them unless theyβve committed an eligible crime. (Also already what current policy is supposed to be).
Nothing on unmasking or judicial warrants, which Democrats have been demanding. Per sources familiar with the negotiations, both sides are still very far apart.
