Ten drones launched by Iran-backed militants sparked a huge fire at the world's largest oil processing facility and a major oilfield in Saudi Arabia in the early hours of this morning. The fires at Abqaiq in Buqyaq, which contains the world's largest oil processing plant, and Khurais, which contains the country's second largest oilfield, have now been brought under control since the drone attacks at 4.00am local time. Tensions are running high in the region after attacks in June and July on oil tankers in Gulf waters that Riyadh and Washington blamed on Iran. A military spokesman for Yemen's Houthi rebels, considered an Iranian proxy force in the region, has claimed responsibility for today's attacks on Abqaiq and Khurais, two major facilities in eastern Saudi Arabia run by state-owned oil giant Aramco. ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฑ

Hamza bin Laden, the son of former Al Qaeda leader and 9/11 mastermind Osama, has been killed in a counter-terrorism operation, Donald Trump confirmed. US media reported in late July and early August, citing intelligence officials, that the younger Bin Laden had been killed sometime in the last two years in an operation that involved the United States. Secretary of Defense Mark Esper confirmed the death last month, saying it was 'his understanding' that bin Laden was dead, but Trump and other senior officials had not publicly confirmed the news. But in a statement released by the White House Saturday morning, Trump said the high-ranking Al Qaeda member, 'was killed in a United States counter-terrorism operation in the Afghanistan/Pakistan region.'

France: Migrants speak out amid looming eviction from Dunkirk camp
Published: 14 Sep 2019
Illegal Migrants shared their thoughts amid a looming eviction from a camp at Grande-Synthe, near the French port city of Dunkirk, on Friday.
Migrant from Kurdistan called on French authorities not to clear the camp, saying, "What people are going to do after that?" Migrant from Iran stressed that "you cannot stop these people.
If you close this place, they'll go to another place." "We tried to go to London. But I don't want to stay in France. All the people, not just me, everyone wants to go to the UK," noted migrant from Afghanistan.
The disused gym in Dunkirk, which reportedly houses more than 70 families, is expected to be cleared in the coming days. On Thursday, the makeshift migrant camp in Calais, which had housed some 500 people was cleared.

Dozens of immigration policy protesters have been arrested at a demonstration outside a Microsoft store in New York City. Police say they took 76 people into custody Saturday who blocked traffic near the Fifth Avenue store in Manhattan. The protesters criticized Microsoft for doing business with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. They decried what they called the agencyโs racist campaign against immigrants and asylum seekers. A Microsoft spokeswoman says the company closed the store for the rest of the day. The protest comes amid mounting criticism of companies working with ICE. Some of Microsoftโs own employees demanded last year that it cancel its data processing contract with ICE. Saturdayโs march and sit-in was organized by a coalition called Close the Camps #NYC. #NYPD #NY
