On March 7, Officers Brian Bailey and Chris Jefferson with the Street Crimes Unit responded to a call about suspected drug activity in the area of Race and Curtview. While searching, they encountered Rodney Fisher who was wanted in connection with the shooting death of David Marshall. As they approached Fisher, according to a release from the prosecuting attorneyโs office, Fisher pulled a handgun on the officers. Bailey and Jefferson opened fire, hitting Fisher. The Viking Sky suffered engine failure in storms off the Norwegian coast on Saturday. This new video show the ship rolling dramatically in seas with waves of upto 30ft in the moment the engines died. The video shows ceiling tiles falling down and furniture flying across the room. Five helicopters were sent to winch passengers aboard one by one and fly them to safety. A 90-year-old man and his 70-year-old wife have been seriously injured. A cargo ship which tried to help also had to be evacuated after losing power. Around 230 people have so far been flown to safety, with 16 injured, three seriously. Today hundreds remain on board as rescue efforts continue.๐ข๐ฑ

On Saturday police announced they had arrested Marc Gomez (left), 36, the man behind the brutal assault of a 78-year-old woman riding the New York subway on March 10. Gomez was caught on tape repeatedly punching and kicking the woman in the face and body as they rode the northbound 2 train in the Bronx at 3.10am. Police posted his image on Twitter on Friday night for tips on his identity. By Saturday they arrested him. #NYPD Chief Dermot F.
