MILPITAS — Police released dramatic video from a body-worn camera Thursday showing the fatal police shooting of 19-year-old Milpitas resident Brandeis Codde on June 21, and named the officers involved in the incident. Codde was shot around 1 p.m. at the Spring Valley Apartments at 133 North Temple Dr. after his mother called 911 and told a police dispatcher that Codde had stabbed his stepfather in their apartment and that he was “losing it.” (Read the full story.)

WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT! Maricopa County Sheriff Paul Penzone released body-camera footage and details of a confrontation in which a deputy shot and killed a man Sunday. Deputies killed 70-year-old Rodney Liveringhouse after he came out of his home pointing a gun at the deputies. His wife had called 911 saying he was acting strangely and scaring her. Penzone said Liveringhouse's family told investigators that he had been dealing with some psychological issues but didn't have a specific reason as to why Liveringhouse decided to approach deputies while armed.
