(WARNING: 21+) Seattle police and King County Sheriff’s deputies shot and wounded a suspect in a narcotics investigation Wednesday afternoon in Belltown. In the interest of transparency and in keeping with department policy, the Seattle Police Department is releasing body worn video related to this incident. Officers and deputies were conducting a narcotics operation near 3rd Avenue and Blanchard Street around 2:45 PM in response to community complaints about drug dealing in the area. During the operation, police attempted to arrest a suspect in a vehicle at 3rd Avenue and Blanchard. When police approached the vehicle, officers reported seeing a gun. SPD officers and King County Sheriff’s Deputies opened fire on the 25-year-old suspect, who was struck and wounded. Two people were killed and at least four wounded early Sunday in a shooting at a bar in South Carolina, officials said. A gunman opened fire at Mac’s Lounge in Hartsville, located about 25 miles northwest of Florence, N.C., at around 2 a.m., Hartsville police said. Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee confirmed that two people had died, police said. Officials did not provide any details on the conditions of those injured or what led to the shooting. No arrests were immediately made, Hartsville Police Department spokeswoman Lauren Baker. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and the U.S. Marshals Service were assisting with the investigation, police said.

A Florida man was arrested after shining a laser pointer at multiple pilots making their approaches at Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport, police said. Charlie James Chapman Jr, 41, faces multiple charges after police said he temporarily blinded one of the pilots. Video claims to show him throwing rocks and directing the laser at a Manatee County Sheriff's helicopter attempting to locate him. “Pointing a laser at multiple aircraft didn’t end well for Charlie Chapman Jr.,” the MCSO said on Facebook. “He was arrested after pointing one at planes heading into SRQ Airport last night, and then at our MCSO Aviation Unit helicopter. He even tried throwing rocks at the helicopter!”

A fifth US case of #coronavirus has been confirmed after two new patients tested positive in California and one patient tested positive in Arizona today. Health officials say that both California patients, one in Orange County and the second in Los Angeles County, had recently returned from the epicenter of the outbreak in Wuhan, China. Officials confirmed a fifth case in Maricopa County, Arizona. No other information was immediately available about that patient. Two other cases were previously confirmed in Chicago and Snohomish County, Washington, while Canada confirmed its first case Saturday in Toronto. The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health said that the infected person presented themselves for testing after feeling unwell, and are 'currently receiving medical treatment'. Several people died Monday in a fire that destroyed at least 35 vessels at a boat dock in Alabama, officials say, FOX News reported. The massive blaze that broke out this morning in Scottsboro has consumed mostly houseboats, according to Scottsboro Fire Chief Gene Necklaus. "There were numerous people rescued from the water who had escaped by going into the water," Jackson County Chief Sheriff's Deputy Rocky Harnen told The Associated Press shortly after dawn. "We're trying to get divers down here to search for possible victims in the water." "We have some confirmed fatalities, but we don't have an exact number yet," Harnen added. "We have several people who were taken to the hospital from being in the water, and some had minor burns."🔥
