Only a few hours into 2020 and Missouri's second largest city recorded four homicides in multiple shootings across St. Louis. The St. Louis Police Department reports the incidents โ€“ in which a total of eight people were shot โ€“ began rolling in shortly after midnight, when a teenager was shot in the thigh in a neighborhood on the city's northwest side. Not even a half-hour after the first incident was reported, three people were found fatally shot in an intersection in the city's Benton Park neighborhood. Shortly after the third shooting, a fourth incident was reported on the 3400 block of Wyoming Ave., where a man reported suffering a graze wound after gunfire was reported. Another early-morning shooting was reported in the St. Louis suburb of Creve Coeur, Mo. Officers responded to a 911 call around 1:30 a.m. and found two teens shot at the home, FOX2 reported. ๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Brookside police released dramatic bodycam footage of the capture and arrest of a California man accused of abducting an Alabama woman. The Brookside Police Department reports that Sean E. Sanders has been officially charged with numerous felonies following his arrest on Sunday. The victim, only identified as a white female, was rescued and taken to a hospital for medical care. Although sheโ€™s now in stable condition, she sustained numerous injuries after Sanders reportedly beat her with a tire iron.

(WARNING 21+) Louisville Metro Police Department released body camera video after an officer fired his weapon, striking a suspect on Dec. 26.According to LMPD Major Jamey Schwab with the Special Investigations unit, LMPD officers were flagged down by an Enterprise Rental employee at the LMPD Training Academy around 2 p.m. The employee told officers a Ford Flex, which had been stolen from Enterprise, was spotted near the Walgreens at 700 Algonquin Parkway. After verifying the license plate, LMPD confirmed the vehicle was stolen and headed to the scene. Officers said the suspect, identified as Thomas Edwin Brooks, refused to obey the commands. Instead, he backed up the vehicle and accelerated toward Officer Jason Maguire, striking him. Taiwanโ€™s top military official was among eight people killed on Thursday, after a helicopter carrying them to visit soldiers crashed in a mountainous area near the capital Taipei, the defense ministry said. The main portion of the helicopter lay in a northern forest wreathed in mist, its blades shattered, as dozens of rescuers combed the wreck for survivors, pictures released by emergency authorities showed, Reuters reports. The reasons for the crash, in the wake of a forced landing, were unknown, the military said in a statement, adding that the chief of general staff, Air Force General Shen Yi-ming, had died, while five of the 13 aboard survived.
There was a heavy security presence at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Wednesday for an event attended by tens of thousands of Jewish people amid a recent spate of anti-Semitic attacks in the area.
