National Weather Service meteorologist Vince Godon said that Grand Forks and surrounding areas 'really got slammed' including golf-ball sized hail along the Canadian border from Pembina, North Dakota, to Roseau, Minnesota. The weather service says Goodrich, in north-central North Dakota, received 7.8 inches of rain in 24 hours. Grand Forks had 5.29 inches of rain and Roseau had nearly 6 inches of precipitation. A flash flood watch is in effect until 10pm CDT Sunday evening for portions of north central Illinois and northeast Illinois. Parts of Wisconsin and Kansas are under flash flood watches as well. πŸ’¦
California woman, 29, is arrested after cops spot her struggling to push a baby stroller with $6,000 in stolen quarters inside. A woman stole $6,000 worth of quarters and her getaway car was a baby stroller, according to cops in Bakersfield California, who arrested the burglary suspect. Darrin Fritz, 29, was spotted struggling with a baby stroller by two detectives on Friday, who after approaching her to check on her welfare discovered no child inside, cops said. Instead, Fritz had $6,000 worth of quarters stashed inside the stroller, according to a statement from police that was posted on social media. πŸ˜‚ #funny

Eariler in the day at Tuen Mun, a protestor held up a loudspeaker, playing "Maria telling off kids" at the police officers as they retreated.

Maria Cordero is an actress and singer, and is a strong pro-government supporter. She made a fiery speech in a support the police rally on July 21st.

Netizens took sections of her rant where she was telling off kids who were proesting and made it into a song. The song is highly popular with locals and has been viewed over 1.2 million times on youtube.
