A fifth death has been linked to Tropical Storm Imelda after devastating rainfall submerged parts of Texas. The body of Mark Dukaj, 52, of Florida was found inside a stalled vehicle on Thursday on 1-10, the Texas Department of Safety said. Jefferson County spokeswoman Allison Getz said officials believe Dukaj’s death was storm related, but don’t think the man drowned despite water seeping into his vehicle. An upcoming autopsy will confirm the cause of death. On Friday, authorities discovered the dead body of Malcolm Foster, 47, in his Toyota Prius after floodwaters decreased in Beaumont, according to a statement. Hunter Morrison, 19, of Jefferson County was electrocuted and subsequently drowned while moving his horse to high ground when an electrical storm struck earlier this week. An unidentified man was pulled from a van engulfed in eight feet of water by rescue crews in Houston.💦😱

Hong Kong police fired tear gas to try to disperse democracy protesters earlier today - after pro-China groups pulled down the anti-government notes on some Lennon Walls in a Chinese-ruled city. Thousands of pro-democracy marchers gathered under the sweltering sun near the government offices of Tuen Mun, an outlying area in the west of the New Territories where some set fire to a Chinese flag. Earlier, dozens of Beijing supporters tore down large mosaics of colourful post-it notes that were denouncing the Chinese government for allegedly meddling in the former British colony. Reporters saw at least one person arrested after violence erupted following the afternoon march by several thousand people Hong Kong endures its fourth month of sometimes violent protests. They started with opposition to a proposed extradition law and have expanded to include demands for greater democracy. Most protesters in Tuen Mun were peaceful but some threw petrol bombs and bricks toward police who faced them down the street. #HK

Boris Johnson faced accusations last night that he had failed to declare potential conflicts of interest over a close friendship with an American model-turned-businesswoman when he was London Mayor. Reports said that technology entrepreneur Jennifer Arcuri, 34 - who is said to have described Mr Johnson as 'one of her best friends' - was given thousands of pounds in public money and privileged access to three overseas trade missions. The Sunday Times claimed that Ms Arcuri's fledgling business received £10,000 in sponsorship cash in 2013 from an organisation the then-mayor was responsible for. He also reportedly attended numerous events she arranged that promoted a company of hers. Ms Arcuri was in her late twenties at the time. According to sources, Mr Johnson, 55, would regularly visit her top-floor flat in Shoreditch, East London.
