An officer was injured late Friday night following a chase that ended in Licking, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Cpl. Jacob Sellars said a 1998 Lincoln Town Car driven by a 44-year-old Houston man was being pursued when it lost control, spun 180 degrees and accelerated toward a 2016 Ford Explorer driven by the officer. At the time, Sellars said the law enforcement officer’s vehicle was stopped or nearly stopped. The Lincoln struck the Explorer and a stack of pallets on Green Street before coming to rest.

The officer, a 37-year-old Houston man, was taken by private vehicle to Texas County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

BREAKING: Seven people were killed and one seriously injured in Sunday’s crash of a private jet departing Bangor, Maine, according to the FAA. A preliminary report says Challenger N10KJ "crashed under unknown circumstances," came to rest inverted, and caught fire.

Morgan Morrow, 39, has been charged with one count of terroristic threats.
