Charlie Kirk’s wife and two young children were at the Utah campus event where he was shot and killed.

Former Rep. Bob McEwen, a close family friend and member of Turning Point USA’s advisory council, shared the news on CNN.

McEwen reflected on Charlie and Erika’s love story, recalling how they first met when she applied for a job with him. “They met for over two and a half hours. At the end of it, he said, ‘I’m not going to hire you, but I’d like to date you,’” McEwen said.

He also shared that just days ago, Kirk had been told he would likely need security for the rest of his life, a sacrifice Erika understood but had hoped to avoid.

The White House is stepping up security for President Donald Trump following the assassination of Charlie Kirk, CNN reports.

This morning’s 9/11 memorial ceremony was moved from its usual location outside the Pentagon to an internal courtyard due to security concerns, a source said.

Additional precautions will also be in place tonight when Trump attends the Yankees–Tigers game in the Bronx, including extra screening at all entrances and heightened security around the box where he’ll watch the game.

Trump had originally planned to stay at Trump Tower this weekend but will now travel to his Bedminster, New Jersey, golf club, which officials consider one of the most secure sites available.

Our FBI Denver team continues to work with our partners regarding the investigation of the shooting at Evergreen High School yesterday afternoon in Colorado.

We have deployed our evidence response team and other specialty resources as part of our response to this incident. The suspect is deceased from his self-inflicted injuries and has been identified as a student at the school, 16-year-old Desmond Holly.

Most importantly, our thoughts continue to be with the two victims injured in the shooting and all those who have been impacted by this horrific attack. We will share more as we are able.

BREAKING: Per multiple federal sources to FoxNews, the suspect arrested in the grisly machete beheading of a motel manager in Dallas, TX yesterday is a Cuban illegal alien who was released into the US by the Biden admin in January despite having an active deportation order.

I'm told YORDANIS COBOS-MARTINEZ was released from ICE custody by the Biden admin on 1/13/2025, one week before Trump took office, due to "no significant likelihood of removal in the forseeable future". The Biden admin didn't believe they could enforce his deportation order and remove him because Cuba doesn't cooperate, and they did not conduct third party country deportations the way the Trump administration does. (sending aliens to countries they aren't nationals of).

Disturbing surveillance video shows Cobos-Martinez allegedly kicking and picking up the victim's severed head in the motel parking lot as it drips blood, before he places it into a dumpster. It reportedly all started with an argument with the motel manager, and the beheading took place in front of the victim's wife and son.

Texas: Harris County Sheriff's deputies responded to a shooting inside a retail store (Walmart) located at 9235 N Sam Houston Pkwy E @ Wilson.

Preliminary: not an active shooter incident. It appears to be a result of individuals arguing inside the store. One person sustained a gunshot wound to the arm, another person is detained. No further threat.
