Please, pray for the Massachusetts State trooper who was seriously injured in the line of duty last night.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป A Massachusetts State Police trooper was critically injured in a hit-and-run in Revere on Monday, police said. The trooper was hit by a motorcycleโ€ฆ
UPDATE ON INJURED STATE TROOPER: We are keeping Massachusetts State Police Lieutenant Donald Bossi in our prayers following a devastating incident that occurred Monday evening outside the Revere Barracks.

Lt. Bossi, the station commander, was struck by a stolen motorcycle just before 5 p.m. while standing near his cruiser on Revere Beach Boulevard. The impact threw him nearly 40 feet, leaving him with serious injuries, including a broken and separated pelvis, multiple facial fractures, and severe cuts. He underwent surgery yesterday at Massachusetts General Hospital and remains in serious condition. As Suffolk County DA Kevin Hayden noted, โ€œLt. Bossi is lucky to be alive.โ€

The driver of the stolen motorcycle, 18-year-old Akram El Moukhtari of Revere, has been arraigned on multiple charges, including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, receiving a stolen motor vehicle, and leaving the scene of personal injury. He is currently being held on $50,000 cash bail and is due back in court on July 18.

According to investigators, El Moukhtari and a friend were recklessly riding on the boulevardโ€”popping wheelies and running red lightsโ€”when the crash occurred. Shockingly, the teen reportedly saw Lt. Bossi in the road and made no attempt to stop, later fleeing the scene before turning himself in that evening.

This tragic event is a stark reminder of the dangers our law enforcement officers face every single dayโ€”even just outside their own stations.

We stand with Lt. Bossi, his family, and the entire Massachusetts State Police community. May he recover swiftly and fully from his injuries. We thank him for his bravery, his service, and his continued fight to heal.

โ€œHe put himself in harmโ€™s way to protect othersโ€ - those words echoed throughout LA as officers, loved ones, and leaders honored the life and legacy of LAPD Sergeant Shiou Deng.

During a solemn procession from UCLA to the medical examinerโ€™s office, fellow officers stood shoulder to shoulder, saluting a man whose final act was rooted in courage and compassion. From the growing memorial outside the West LA station to tributes from Mayor Bass and Chief McDonnell, Deng was remembered not only as a veteran officer but as a selfless leader and devoted son. Flags may be at half-staff, but the memory of Sgt. Deng will forever stand tall in the hearts of those he served and protected.

PTSD in law enforcement doesnโ€™t always look like the movies.
Itโ€™s not dramatic flashbacks or breaking down on cue.
Sometimes itโ€™s the silence. The mood swings. The irritability. The emotional numbness.
Itโ€™s pushing through the shift with a fake smile and pretending everythingโ€™s fine.
Letโ€™s stop acting like we have to carry it all alone.

Need help? Youโ€™re not alone.
