The United States is on the verge of entering ‘uncharted territory’, experts say, as the country stands on the verge of breaking an unfavorable record of tornado activity this week, as more warnings are issued from the Great Plains to the East Coast. The deadly spate of weather has already killed one and injured hundreds more, but the slurry of volatile weather shows no signs of letting up anytime soon. On Monday, the US tied its current record of 12 consecutive days with at least eight tornadoes on each of those days, said Patrick Marsh, warning coordination meteorologist for the federal Storm Prediction Center. 😱❄️🌪
Four Sherpas are seen heaving a rigid corpse over the ice, its arm sticks into the air and its knees slide along the ground unnaturally in the footage filmed last week on Mount Everest (pictured: Sherpas use rope tied to the frozen body to drag it over the ice, left and right; and long queues up to the summit, inset). The staggering death toll so far this season has been shrouded in controversy but government officials said on Wednesday they had no plans to cap permits despite lethal traffic jams in freezing winds and thin air. The video uploaded by Rohtash Khileri last Tuesday said: 'Sherpas are the form of a God in the mountains. We should respect them. And should also respect the mountains.' 🗿

Mississippi River flood is longest-lasting in over 90 years, since 'Great Flood' of 1927 😱💧
As the nation reels from heatwaves, tornadoes, and storm warnings, the Midwest is about to be inundated with record flooding this week as several major rivers are forecast to reach historic levels. The Arkansas and Mississippi Rivers are expected to flood at record-breaking levels as a downpour of rain is forecast to drench the Midwest states on Tuesday and Wednesday. National Weather Service Little Rock warned that the Arkansas River may experience 'the worst flooding in recorded history' as it's projected to crest on Wednesday at 42.5 feet in Van Buren, breaking the 1945 record of 38.42 feet. It'll be devastating for Arkansas and Oklahoma communities that are already underwater. 😱💧

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says ‘hateful messages’ like the one played by a minor league baseball team likening her to ‘America’s adversaries’ such as Kim Jong-un and Fidel Castro leads to a ‘flood of death threats.’ The Democratic congresswoman from New York reacted for the first time on Tuesday to a Memorial Day tribute video that was aired in a minor league baseball stadium by the Fresno Grizzlies of the Pacific Coast League. ‘What people don’t (maybe do) realize is when [organizations] air these hateful messages, my life changes [because] of the flood of death threats they inspire,’ the Bronx native tweeted on Tuesday.

(WARNING 21+) Body camera and surveillance footage of an officer involved shooting that left a 40-year-old man dead in his New Orleans East apartment earlier this month was released by police officials Tuesday (May 28). The #NOPD released the footage Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. After the video was shown to media, they briefly discussed the content of the video and where the investigation stands. According to the NOPD, the officers Stephen Jones, Kevin Nguyen and Wayne Lewis will all be put back on street by week’s end as the shooting has been deemed justifiable. Donald Davis, 40, was killed in the shooting. Police claim Davis screamed, "shoot me, I dare you" before firing his weapon at the officers first. (cam1,2.3.4) 🔫👮🏻‍♂️ #shooting
