Anderson County, SC – Anderson County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) #K9 Roscoe died in the line of duty on Aug. 12 after being hit by friendly fire during an encounter with an armed suspect. The incident began at approximately 10:30 p.m., when 21-year-old Bryan Keith Hamilton and an unnamed 16-year-old girl led ACSO deputies on a pursuit, Anderson County Sheriff Chad McBride told WCSC. According to Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore, the deputies ultimately terminated the pursuit because Hamilton was driving too recklessly. Shortly thereafter, Hamilton crashed into a yellow cab new a Lowes store, and he and the juvenile female bailed out and took off on foot, police said. Deputies chased the suspects into a dimly-lit, wooded area. (Read the Full Story.)

Land Drone Under: Cops in Melbourne are using drones to spy on citizens to make sure they don’t break lockdown rules. Having already brought in some of the strictest Covid-19 restrictions in the world, Aussie police are well on their way to turning Victoria into an Orwellian surveillance state. Both Australia and New Zealand’s governments have wantonly restricted civil liberties with some of the most stringent lockdown conditions on the planet.
MINNEAPOLIS - In a new filing in the case against a now-fired Minneapolis police officer involved in the killing of George Floyd, the officer’s attorney alleged that Floyd overdosed on fentanyl while resisting arrest and in doing so contributed to his own death, arguing the charges against the officer should be dropped, FOX 35 reported. In Monday’s filing, Gray doubled down on the idea that Floyd swallowed drugs while the officers were attempting to take him into custody, pointing to the disappearance of a white spot on Floyd’s tongue in the body camera video. He argues it looks like “2 milligrams of fentanyl, a lethal dose.” The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s autopsy report says toxicology testing found fentanyl and evidence of recent methamphetamine use in Floyd’s system.
