The First Couple arrived at Daytona International Speedway on Sunday to attend to Daytona 500, NASCAR's most prestigious race. Donald Trump came in hot with a dramatic, low Air Force One flyover of the Daytona International Speedway, where around 100,000 fans are gathered for the annual race. The flyover was aired live. He took his campaign to the race to fire up voters in the swing state of Florida as he takes a lap around the race track in his presidential limousine 'The Beast' along with some of the other iconic presidential vehicles. Trump is not the first Republican president to visit the Daytona 500, but he is the first to be named Grand Marshal of the event by NASCAR, and will iconically tell drivers to 'start their engines.' After the lap around the race track, Trump delivered a pre-race Grand Marshal Speech to the crowd and was joined on-stage by first lady Melania Trump.
Two Los Zetas cartel assassins have had their convictions partially vacated in the killing of a federal agent in Mexico nine years ago, according to a new report, FOX NEWS reported. Jose Emanuel “Zafado” Garcia Sota and Jesus Ivan “Loco” Quezada Pina had been convicted of four counts in the murder of Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent Jaime Zapata in San Luis Potosi. A jury in Washington returned the verdict in 2017. Last month, a DC federal appeals court vacated their convictions on two of those counts — murder and attempted murder of a federal officer. The court reached its decision on technical grounds. Garcia Sota, 39, and Quezada Pina, 32, are serving life sentences in prison on those two counts. They are also serving life on a third count they asked the court to overturn — use of a firearm in relation to a crime of violence causing death. The court rejected their appeal on that count.

Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales confirmed that Amarah Banks, and her daughters, Camaria Banks, and Zaniya Banks were found dead Sunday in a garage - a day after an Amber Alert was issued for the children. The boyfriend of the mother was taken into custody in Tennessee. Chief Morales said Banks was reported missing to MPD by family on Feb. 9. It was later determined her children, ages 4, and 5, were also missing. On Saturday, Feb. 15, MPD was notified by police in Memphis, Tenn., that they had contact with Arzel Ivery, 25, of Milwaukee - Banks' boyfriend. MPD detectives went to Tennessee and spoke to Ivery. Chief Morales said Ivery provided information that brought investigators to the garage Sunday, where they discovered the three bodies, reported FOX NEWS. Chief Morales was asked why it took a week to issue the Amber Alert and said there's certain criteria that must be met in order for an Amber Alert to be issued -- and noted foul play wasn't an initial piece of this investigation.

A 45-year-old driver was killed in Dallas early Sunday in a crash that involved two street racers, according to police. The deadly crash unfolded around 5 a.m., Fox 4 reported. The victim, Kendrick Lyons, was struck by one of two racing Camaros, according to the station. Lyons’ mother said he was driving to donate plasma and had celebrated his birthday with the family the night before. Lyons was ejected from his vehicle and killed. The impact of the crash had sent Lyons’ car into rotation before it caught fire, police said. The driver who hit Lyons’ car was rushed to a nearby hospital with “serious internal injuries.” The other driver, 27-year-old Alejandro Valdez, hit a curb and mailbox before stopping his car. Valdez was unhurt. He remained at the scene and turned himself in to police, Fox 4 reported. He was being held at Dallas County Jail. Police said Valdez and the driver who struck Lyons will be charged with racing causing death.
Border Patrol agents arrested a man Wednesday after discovering 26 illegal immigrants hiding inside a tractor-trailer that was crossing into California at the U.S.-Mexico border, officials said. Agents assigned to the El Centro Sector checkpoint on Highway 86 discovered the immigrants around 9:40 p.m. while conducting an immigration check on the 32-year-old driver, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said in a news release. A Border Patrol canine alerted agents to the rear cargo of the tractor-trailer. The agents said they inspected the area and found 26 people inside. Chief Patrol Agent Gloria I. Chavez said the immigrants had no safety restraints and were locked inside in below 45-degree weather. The driver presented agents with a California driver’s license as his own, but it was later determined to be fraudulent. The agents then determined that the driver was a Mexican national in the U.S. illegally, according to CBP. The driver and all 26 of the smuggled immigrants were arrested.
