Pierce County WA Amendment 53, the amendment to make the sheriff appointed and also to remove me from office, is being rejected 67% to 33%.

I want to thank the citizens of Pierce County for voting to keep their right to vote.

I understand that many of the people who voted to reject 53, don’t want me to be the sheriff, but they want to maintain their right to vote for the office of sheriff. 

I support everyone’s right to vote for the candidate of their choice.

I won the election in 2024, and I won it again now in 2026.

UPDATE: Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister identifies 35-year-old Jacob Pearson of Orlando as the suspect in a deadly shooting at a Florida Citibank facility.

Pearson, a married father of a 7-year-old child with no criminal record, is accused of killing 41-year-old Leanne Selman, a nine-year Citibank employee from Palm Harbor.

Selman worked as a learning advisor for the company’s Security and Investigative Services division.

NEW: DHS confirms that the suspect arrested by NYPD for allegedly following a 27-year-old woman into a Brooklyn building & then violently raping her on Sunday is a Peruvian illegal alien who was caught and released at the California border by the Biden administration on 8/18/2023.

Per DHS, 35-year-old Reynaldo Hoel Mayna is now charged with anal rape – strongarm, assault with a deadly weapon, forcible touching: touching sexual/intimate parts of another person, and sexual abuse – 3rd degree.
