(WARNING 21+) The Bossier City Police Department and the Bossier Parish District Attorney says the police officer who shot and killed a woman last week was justified. Officer Patrick Edmonds, Jr. responded to a disturbance at the LaQuinta Inn on Preston Boulevard in Bossier City on Oct. 25. Police say Shannon Rupert was in the hotel lobby with a pair of scissors, and she refused to drop them when the officer told her to. Edmonds shot Rupert twice, and she died at the hospital. District Attorney Schuyler Marvin sent a letter to Police Chief Shane McWilliams Monday saying the District Attorneyโs office spoke with BCPD investigators and reviewed video from the hotel and bodycam footage. โBased on all evidence reviewed it is my firm opinion that no crime was committed by the officer as his actions constituted justifiable homicide," Marvin wrote in the letter. ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ปโโ๏ธ #shooting

Police Brutality on Civilians: Assaulting and Pepper-spraying Passersby for No Reason
A man in white and a woman in blue are walking out of the Causeway Bay MTR statio. There is no clash and they have no interaction with the police at all; however, the police suddenly grab the man's backpack, drag him over and pepper-spray the two and other citizens at close distance.
The man is subdued on the ground. Police pepper-spray his eyes directly and kick him. The woman gets pepper-sprayed for a couple of times when she is simply crying for help. She screams "it hurts" and asks for water.

How did the fire start? New video shows the crucial last moments leading up to the ignition of the fatal Sandalwood wildfire, which were sparked when a garbage truck driver dumped a pile of burning trash on the side of a road on Thursday afternoon. Capturedโฆ
After a deadly wildfire ripped through their community earlier this month, a Calimesa homeowner is suing a waste company whose truck dumped a load of burning trash on the side of the road that sparked the Sandalwood fire, Los Angeles Times reported. In a lawsuit filed this week, Bruce Maxwell, a resident at the Villa Calimesa Mobile Home Park alleges that CR&R Inc. put its own business interests ahead of public safety when one of its truck drivers dumped his load after it caught fire on Oct. 10. According to the suit, a passerby pleaded with the driver not to unload the smoldering trash because of strong winds that could easily spread a fire. The blaze ultimately burned more than 1,000 acres, destroying at least 76 homes and killing two women who lived in the park. ๐ฅ
