New evacuations were ordered Saturday for at least 90,000 people across a huge swath of Northern California as millions of Californians prepare to have their power cut - the third time in as many weeks - due to the wildfires whipped up by strong winds. The entire communities of Healdsburg and Windsor were ordered to evacuate ahead of severe winds that could lead to erratic fire behavior near the blaze burning in wine country. The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office said it is expected to be the biggest evacuation in the county in more than 25 years. Pacific Gas & Electric began cutting power to 850,000 homes and businesses in 36 counties to prevent winds from downing lines and sparking new fires. That's about 90,000 more customers affected than previously predicted. It previously said it was considering cutting power to 850,000 homes, which would affect around 2.5 million people. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

In Catalonia, Spain, police clash with protesters began. ๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ
Clashes between police and militant elements in a thousands-strong crowd of demonstrators transformed part of central Barcelona into a battleground late on Saturday as another day of pro-independence protests turned violent. Projectiles were fired, at least six people were hospitalised with injuries, and barricades were set alight after officers charged ranks of demonstrators - many young and masking their faces - who had amassed outside Spanish police headquarters. The violent standoff in the city's tourist heartland offered stark evidence of the faultlines developing between hardline and conciliatory elements within the region's independence movement. It lasted several hours before protesters dispersed through the city's streets.๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ
