NEW: DHS confirms to FoxNews that this β€œLake Charles man” who pleaded guilty to incest via raping & impregnating his 12-year-old relative is a Honduran illegal alien who entered the U.S. illegally during the Obama administration. Jose Lopez-Montoya now faces up to 99 years in prison after he repeatedly raped the young girl over a two year span, until she gave birth to a child in 2024 that he later admitted was his, Bill Melugin reports.

DHS statement to FOX:

β€œThis β€˜Lake Charles Man’ is actually an illegal alien from Honduras who admitted to illegally entering the U.S. in 2011. Once again, the media is running cover for a criminal illegal alien. This sicko pled guilty to incest. He raped and impregnated his 12 year-old relative. ICE is working with our Louisiana partners to ensure this monster is never loose in American communities again.β€œ

When I’m governor the gas tax is gone.

California doesn’t need a gas tax to fund roads, it needs to cut the waste, fraud and abuse.

We have terrible roads and high gas taxes. Make that make sense.

Yesterday marked one week since Officer Kevin Van Wert was seriously injured in the line of duty. Officer Van Wert suffered catastrophic injuries that he will have to live with for the rest of his life, including having his right arm amputated. At this time, Officer Van Wert is still in the hospital receiving treatment for his injuries. He has a long road ahead of him, but we are thankful that he is still here with us.

We want to thank everyone who has reached out with their support. It means so much to us that we have a caring and supportive community!

Kevin has a long road ahead of him as he recovers. He has already had several surgeries and has more scheduled. We know people have been asking how they can help, and Blue Wings of Hope has set up a fundraiser to help cover medical and other expenses Officer Van Wert may have during this time. If you would like to donate, visit https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/donate-to-support-first-responders-4

But most importantly, Officer Van Wert, his family, and his friends could use prayers as they navigate this time.

Last night, we gathered for a joint third shift roll call at Lexington Christian Academy, which is across the street from where Officer Van Wert was injured. This offered us, as a department, the chance to start the healing process and to provide our officers and employees with an update on Kevin. Officers and employees from every shift and unit in the department showed up to honor Officer Van Wert, and we were even joined by our friends from the Lexington Fire Department.

We want to thank Lexington Christian Academy for letting us use their space and everyone who came out last night.

At this time, Officer Van Wert’s family has asked for privacy as they continue to heal and navigate his recovery.
