Corey Lewandowski on Tuesday stonewalled Democrats who were questioning him about possible obstruction of justice charges against Donald Trump as the president praised his former campaign manager's tough stance. Lewandowski took a combative and aggressive stance from the start of his testimony before the House Judiciary Committee, claiming the president was a victim of 'haters' and resisted Democrats' efforts to ask him about his conversations with Trump. The hearing is part of the Democrats' strategy to prove there is enough evidence to impeach President Trump.

Researchers have developed a terrifying simulation that shows how an escalating nuclear war between the United States/NATO and Russia would play out. The model โ€” based on realistic data on nuclear force postures, targets and causality estimates โ€” predicts that 34.1 million people would die within hours. The catastrophic conflict would leave another 55.9 million injured โ€” figures which do not include subsequent deaths from nuclear fallout and other effects. In the first three hours alone, Europe would be devastated and an estimated 2.6 million people would be either killed or injured. The following 90 minutes would see key cities in both the US and Russia hit with 5โ€“10 nuclear bombs each, leaving another 88.7 million dead or injured. Many countries in the model appear to escape being the direct target of a nuke โ€” such as those in the southern hemisphere, and Scotland. ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ˜ฑ

Boris Johnson has been desperately trying to piece together a Brexit deal that will get the approval of EU leaders, following unsuccessful talks with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker on Monday. But it appears the Prime Minister has now come up with an alternative to the Irish backstop that he plans to present to Brussels, according to ITVโ€™s Robert Peston. Mr Johnson is proposing a new four-part plan, which requires the approval of Irelandโ€™s Leo Varadkar

A prominent California Democratic donor has been charged with running a drug house where two men died of overdose and a third nearly died last week. Edward Buck was charged Tuesday. He is seen center with his head down being taken away in the back of a patrol car to be processed and taken into custody. Prosecutors are asking that he be held on $4 million bail, calling Buck 'a violent, dangerous sexual predator' who offered drugs, money and shelter to mainly addicted and homeless men in exchange for participating in sexual fetishes, including administering dangerous drug doses. They claim he personally injected drugs into a man who survived an overdose this month. Buck has donated tens of thousands of dollars to campaigns of national candidates including Hillary Clinton and California candidates, including Gov. Gavin Newsom, according to the Los Angeles Times.
