Jailed serial killer, 79, who has confessed to more than 90 murders across several states is given to two life sentences for pleading guilty to strangling two Ohio women to death. Serial killer Samuel Little, 79, pleaded guilty on Friday to killing Cincinnati woman Anna Stewart in 1981 and another unidentified woman whose body has not been found. He entered the pleas on the condition that prosecutors would not seek the death penalty. Little appeared via Skype from California state prison, where he's already serving life sentences for three murders. Investigators say that he targeted vulnerable women and strangled them.

China today blasted the United States for interfering its internal affairs after an American politician urged the rest of the world to confront Beijing like Hong Kong protesters. Kentucky Republican senator Mitch McConnell said on Tuesday: 'China's trading partners, including the U.S., should make it clear that any crackdown [on Hong Kong] would have real and painful costs.' He also wrote: 'The world is awakening to China's abusive and aggressive practices... Every trading nation and democracy that values individual liberty and privacy has a stake here.'
It really is raining on their incredible aerial parade - but the crowds below loved it. Incredible photos have captured the US Air Force's F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team kicking up clouds of moisture as they race across the Chicago skyline. The small clouds formed on the wings of the fighter jets when they performed high G-force maneuvers, which caused the air pressure on the upper side to drop. This made the temperature fall quickly and water vapor in the air condensed into clouds. The 60th annual event saw the planes fly across Chicago's famous waterfront and duck and weave between the towering skyscrapers to the cheers of more than two million onlookers last weekend. π©βπ much #WOW
Tens of thousands of people held hands across Hong Kong late Friday in a dazzling, neon-framed recreation of a pro-democracy 'Baltic Way' protest against Soviet rule three decades ago. The city's skyscraper-studded harbour-front as well as several busy shopping districts were lined with peaceful protesters, many wearing surgical masks to hide their identity and holding Hong Kong flags or mobile phones with lights shining. The human chain is the latest creative demonstration in nearly three months of rolling protests which have tipped Hong Kong into an unprecedented political crisis. #HK much #WOW
Brazil's President has indicated he could send the military in to fight the massive blaze engulfing the Amazon rainforest as the international outcry over the disaster continues. Jair Bolsonaro did not say when the armed forces would get involved, but said 'that's the plan' and suggested that action could be imminent. Mr Bolsonaro has previously described rainforest protections as an obstacle to economic development, sparring with critics who note that the Amazon produces vast amounts of oxygen and is considered crucial in efforts to contain global warming. A fast-moving wildfire that broke out in Northern California saw up to 4,000 people evacuated as it raced across 600 acres in just two hours. The Mountain Fire, which erupted at about noon local time, threatened 1,100 houses as it blazed north of the town of Bella Vista in Shasta County. Photos of the fire posted on Twitter by the County Sheriff's Office showed thick black and gray smoke billowing into the area over a highway near the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. π±π₯
