This is the tragic moment a police officer was fatally gunned down by two muggers outside a shopping center in Mexico on Thursday. State police officer Eliseo Nava Rodríguez was safeguarding a customer who had asked him to watch over him while he made a withdrawal from an ATM when the assailants shot the cop in the back at 4pm in the municipality of Huixquilucan. Surveillance footage shows the fallen cop stepping away from the entrance of a store at the Espacio Interlomas shopping center. Within seconds, one of the suspects opened fired on Nava Rodríguez in front of a child. Nava Rodríguez, who according to local media reports was a veteran member of the police force in the State of Mexico, dropped quickly to the ground. He was shot at least six times. 👮🏻‍♂️ #shooting
