Florida: When a known felon fled after a traffic stop, #teamHCSO deputies in Riverview were prepared to track him down. On August 17, Marcus Agee, 29, was arrested after a brief on-foot chase.
Agee has received numerous charges, including:

๐น Felon in Possession of Firearm
๐น Armed Possession of Controlled Substance
๐น Possession of Cocaine
"This arrest serves as yet another reminder to our community of the collaboration between our aviation, K-9, patrol, and street crimes units," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "They are highly skilled in tracking down anyone who tries to outrun deputies. Their thorough training, combined with the expertise of our patrol and street crimes teams, means that this known felon will be off our streets for a long time."

Florida: #teamHCSO is releasing surveillance and body camera footage from today's ambush of two deputies in Brandon. Both deputies are currently at Tampa General Hospital undergoing surgery for critical injuries.
"Corporal Brito and Deputy Santos came to work today committed to making a difference in their community," added Sheriff Chad Chronister. "Because of this man's deliberate and intentional actions, their lives, and their family's lives are changed forever."

"Deputy Hall's anticipated full recovery brings immense relief to all of us," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "His dedication to Hillsborough County is immeasurable, from his outstanding contributions within the HCSO K9 unit to his vigilant efforts in DUI operations. He embodies our commitment to keeping the community safe."
The investigation remains active as detectives pursue every lead to ensure the suspect responsible for this heinous attack is brought to justice.

On October 22, 2026, just after 1:30 p.m., #teamHCSO Auto Theft Unit detectives located a stolen vehicle near Bloomingdale Avenue and Watson Road in Riverview.
With assistance from our Aviation Unit, detectives tracked the vehicle to Duncan Road, where the driver, Anthoni Williams, 19, parked it and walked toward an apartment complex on Zackary Circle. When deputies moved in to detain him, Williams attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended.
Williams was arrested and faces charges of Grand Theft Motor Vehicle, Criminal Mischief ($1,000 or More), Failure to Obey Written Promise to Appear (FTA โ Loitering or Prowling), Felony Fleeing to Elude, No Valid Driverโs License, and Reckless Driving.
