Most cases can be handled by our Patrol Officers. However, sometimes we come across a  “suspect in a position of advantage” a tactical situation where the suspect has physical, visual, or strategic superiority over officers, victims, or bystanders, which could increase the danger or complexity of the response.  Then it becomes a call for  @lapdmetro #SWAT   Code 4.  Suspect in Custody.
