It's #MilitaryAppreciationMonth! Our American military has played an essential and integral role in the history and molding of this great nation.

In 1999, Congress declared May National Military Appreciation Month to recognize and honor members of the U.S. Armed Forces.

Here at the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, we take immense pride in our department members and the service members across this nation. We have many of our own, both reserves and veterans, who have served and are currently active in the United States Armed Forces.

We thank them all for their military service and for protecting this great nation.
