Yesterday, we honored the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to Californians.
Since the California Firefighters Memorial was unveiled in 2002, more than 1,500 names—city, state, local, and volunteer firefighters—have been added to the wall in Capitol Park.
This year, five of CAL FIRE’s own were newly inscribed: Howard Hedges, Anthony Huennekens, David J. Donley, Christopher Ward, and Mark D. Miller. Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten.
