A bystander has captured the shocking moment a brawl broke out between three male shoppers inside a Pennsylvania mall on Black Friday as retail fever gripped the country. The violent incident occurred outside a Forever 21 store in Leigh Valley Mall in the early hours of Friday morning, with the footage showing two men wrestling on the floor. In the clip, a third man then joins the fracas, throwing punches and pushing another of the men back to the ground after he has scrambled to his feet. Stunned shoppers are seen watching on in horror, as screams and obscenities are heard in the background. #facepalm #Black_Friday
According to the #FBI, over 200,000 background check requests associated with the purchase of a firearm were submitted to the agency on #Black_Friday, marking the second highest gun sales day ever. The previous record was set on the day after Thanksgiving in 2016. In both 2017 and 2016, enough guns were potentially purchased on Black Friday to arm every active duty United States Marine. USA Today reported that, in total, the FBI states they fielded 202,465 requests during the 24-hour period associated with Black Friday, just under the prior record of 203,086. In 20 states, individuals with a concealed carry permit are exempt from the background check requirement, based on guidelines set by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), so they could make a purchase without having to send additional information to the FBI, leaving those sales potentially uncaptured by the FBI’s background check application data.

An off-duty police officer who stepped in to help a woman who claimed her phone had been stolen was attacked by a group of teenagers at a busy outdoor shopping center in California on #Black_Friday. The assault – which was captured on video – happened around 8 p.m. at the Bay Street Mall in Emeryville, located next to Oakland. The Emeryville Police Department said Monday a woman seen in surveillance video wearing white clothes approached a group of teenagers and accused them of taking her cellphone minutes earlier. After spotting the commotion, a California Highway Patrol officer – who asked to only be identified as Greg B. – approached the group and tried to secretly take photos until one of the girls in the crowd noticed what he was doing. "It was a melee. It was chaotic. It was a really scary situation," Greg B. told KTVU. "It should have never gotten to this point." 👮🏻♂️
