First EVER image of a black hole's event horizon is revealed after groundbreaking observations are gathered by 'virtual telescope' #wow
Three years ago Dr. Katie Bouman (right, watching the image being created), now 29, created an algorithm that collects data from telescopes across the world to stitch together a photograph of the phenomenon which is 55million light years away from Earth (left). Her work, which essentially turned Earth into a virtual telescope, has been praised across the political spectrum by First Daughter Ivanka Trump (bottom inset), Kamala Harris and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and by A-listers including Sophia Bush and Olivia Munn. Despite helping a team of scientists at Event Horizon Telescope make the impossible possible, the electrical engineering and computer science graduate hasn't let the grand feat go to her head. Sharing her achievement on Facebook (top inset), Bouman wrote: 'Watching in disbelief as the first image I ever made of a black hole was in the process of being reconstructed.'🕺

Creepy patent filing suggests Facebook wants to use your PHOTOS to help advertisers target your friends. Researchers calculated the most affordable cities in America by using the 50/30/20 ratio, in which half of a person's income covers necessities, 30% goes toward discretionary items and 20% is for savings. Springfield, Missouri ranked first in the nation on affordability with a minimum income of $33,175.60 needed to live comfortably in that state - thanks, in part, to a low median rent of $495 a month, according to a new report. El Paso, Texas ranked second on the list, with a needed income of just $34,692.56 – or $2,891.05 per month.
