A seagull had a narrow escape from certain death after being ambushed by an octopus. The bird was flying over a beach on Rottnest Island, in Western Australia, when the octopus wrapped its tentacles around it as it sat on the surface of the water. Stuart Love watched in awe as the bird fought for his life, before a man clutching a bottle of beer waded in and saved the animal. 🐙🐦☺️

The footage, shot in Kochi, Kerala, in south-west India, shows the man next to his new wife and relatives at a table. His wife taps him on the shoulder and looks at him mischievously before scraping rice to her side of the table. The pair had been about to share their first meal together, and were supposed to eat off the same plate. The man joins in with his relatives' laughter at her actions but they all fall silent when he suddenly jumps up and tips over the table before angrily leaving the room. 😂🤣 #facepalm #lol
