Rigth now! Tens of thousands of people, including high-school students, gathered in Bangkok , defying a ban announced as part of a crackdown on pro-democracy protests.

With the protest situation going on in Thailand, the self-proclaimed democratic Thai government has continued acts of deprivation of rights to freedom of expression, prohibit and distort the true information to the public, to name a few. But last night's situation has gone worse.

South Euclid police on Wednesday released two videos of a traffic stop showing a police officer who pulled a gun on a Black woman with a child in her SUV during a traffic stop. The department’s release of the videos — separate body cam video and dashcam recordings — came after a bystander posted footage of the traffic stop on Instagram. The encounter between the unidentified woman and the South Euclid police officers happened about 11:30 a.m. Oct. 12 on Monticello Avenue near the Trebisky Road intersection. South Euclid police did not provide a copy of the citation the officer issued the woman or any other incident reports related to the traffic stop. A 30-year-old security guard will face a charge of second-degree murder for allegedly shooting and killing a participant in a “Patriot Rally” in downtown Denver on Saturday, prosecutors announced Thursday. If convicted, Matthew Robert Dolloff could face up to 48 years in prison in connection to the shooting, which his family’s attorney has said was an act of self-defense. Dolloff was working as a security guard for journalists at Denver television station 9News when he opened fire. Denver District Attorney Beth McCann announced she’ll formally file the charges against Dolloff on Monday. Police had arrested Dolloff on suspicion of first-degree murder. The arrest affidavit for Dolloff released Tuesday states that Lee Keltner, the 49-year-old demonstrator who was killed, became involved in a dispute with Dolloff and a 9News producer, whom Dolloff was guarding. Keltner, who was holding a can of pepper spray, slapped Dolloff in the side of the head, according to the affidavit, and Dolloff then drew a gun from his waistband. Dolloff fired the gun as Keltner discharged the pepper spray, according to the affidavit. Beyond criminal charges in the shooting, Denver officials say Dolloff could face additional criminal or civil action for working in Denver without the city’s required municipal security guard license. Dolloff was working as a contractor for Pinkerton, which 9News had contracted with for security. Management at the television station said Tuesday that they requested an unarmed guard and did not know Dolloff had a gun on Saturday until he opened fire.

SEATTLE, WA — A man wielding a burning piece of wood set a police vehicle on fire Thursday in Seattle's South Lake Union neighborhood, according to police. The Seattle Fire Department responded to a car fire near the intersection of John Street and Dexter Avenue North shortly before 1:30 p.m. Several images shared on social media showed a plume of black smoke in the area at that time. Photos captured by local media showed a police SUV with significant burn damage. In an update provided by police two hours later, SPD said an officer was responding to reports of a man brandishing a "flaming piece of lumber" near Denny Park. Once the officer found him, police said, the suspect threw the burning 2-by-2 inside the patrol SUV. Backup officers chased the man into a neighboring parking garage where he was hit with a stun gun and arrested, police said. At some point during the response, investigators believe an officer fired a gun but did not hit the man. The department's Force Investigation Team was called to the scene to gather evidence and interview witnesses. While officers were apprehending the man, police said the patrol SUV became fully engulfed with flames. Medics took one officer to Harborview Medical Center with burn injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
