On September 13, 2020 at 2:36 pm, an unknown black male entered Sunoco mini market located at 1701 North 33rd Street and asked for a cigar. When the clerk asked for identification to verify he was old enough to buy tobacco, the male became irate and pulled a gun from his pocket. The male then knocked over displays and threw items from shelves onto the floor the left the station in an unknown direction. Suspect Description: Black male, 16 years-of-age, wearing a black t-shirt, black shorts and white sneakers. If you see this suspect do not approach, contact 911 immediately. According to court records, Chance Avery, a corporal with The Village Police Department, shot 49-year-old Christopher Poor three times on July 25.
