San Antonio police dash camera video obtained by the KSAT 12 Defenders contradicts the departmentโs long-held narrative that a woman shot and killed by an SAPD sergeant in early 2019 had pointed a weapon at him prior to being shot. The account of the March 2019 shooting of Hannah Westall in the parking lot of a North Side shopping center is the third time since October 2018 that information provided by Chief William McManus about a fatal shooting involving his officers was later refuted by video or had to be corrected by McManus himself. โApproached the woman, gave her some commands. She very slowly turned around, pulled the gun, and pointed it at the sergeant,โ said McManus while briefing the media in the parking lot of the Huebner Commons on March 20, 2019. The self-proclaimed leader of the Ku Klux Klan in Virginia was found guilty on Monday of six misdemeanor charges following a June incident where he drove a vehicle into a group of BLM protesters. Video footage from June 7 shows Harry H. Rogers driving onto the median to pass a group of cars behind 300 protesters. He was also caught on camera driving into at least two bicyclists and one demonstrator on foot. Rogers purportedly boasted to authorities that he was the "highest-ranking member" of the KKK in the state and had been coordinating with 20 others to "defend" Confederate monuments in Richmond. One person was injured during Rogers' attack but was not seriously wounded. Rogers, 36, was initially charged with attempted malicious wounding, felony vandalism, and assault and battery, FOX NEWS reported.

SALT LAKE CITY โ A vehicle with five occupants landed upside down in the Jordan Surplus Canal after the driver lost control on Saturday, August 8. The woman and four children, ages 17, 16, 15, and 2, were in the car driving near Indiana Ave. and Delong St., at around 11:00 p.m., when it went into the water. The driver and two older children were able to escape from the submerging vehicle, but the two youngest were still trapped when several Salt Lake City police officers arrived. Upon arrival, four officers quickly removed their vests and belts and ran into the water to save the children as the car slipped under the surface. One officer dived into the water several times to enter through a window but was unable to get in due to the murkiness of the water. The children were transported to an area hospital for treatment.
