Leonard, whose brother served as a U.S. Marine in Afghanistan, reportedly uses a military-themed backpack and has various friends who are Navy SEALs. Despite his public support for the Black Lives Matter movement, he says he couldn't bring himself to kneel in protest. “"I love and support the military and my brother and the people who have fought to defend our rights in this country"” he said, according to the #NBA.

A wildfire in southern California, which has been deemed the Apple fire, has forced evacuation orders in several neighborhoods after burning more than 4,000 acres and destroying at least one home Saturday. The fire, which started in Riverside, an area roughly 75 miles from Los Angeles, is said to be zero percent contained even though 375 firefighters, dozens of engines and air support are on the scene. Evacuation warnings and orders have been set for the Potato Canyon and the Oak Glen areas, as the fire has moved into San Bernardino County, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) on Sunday. “Approximately 2,586 homes totaling approximately 7,800 people are under evacuation orders,” the Riverside Fire Department tweeted Saturday evening.

MESA, AZ -- Body-cam video footage of a 2019 Mesa officer-involved #shooting was released by police. The incident happened on the morning of December 2 after Mesa police responded to a family fight call at a residence in the area of Gilbert and Broadway roads. The officer-involved shooting suspect, identified as 18-year-old Neil Chiago Jr., reportedly was holding his father hostage inside of an apartment. After authorities arrived, there was a stand-off, where officers witnessed the front door of the apartment opening and slamming shut numerous times. The dad eventually had a chance to escape the apartment. When he did, he told officers that his son had a shotgun. At that point, officers called the suspect. NASA astronauts Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken splashed down in the Gulf of Mexico aboard SpaceX's Dragon capsule and have emerged from the cabin, stepping foot on Earth the first time in 63 days. The spacefairing heroes will be flown in a helicopter to the Pensacola Naval Air Station, where they will be shuttled to Johnson Space Center in Houston - NASA's official home base for astronauts. Hurley and Behnke began their journey when they took off from Cape Canaveral, Florida aboard SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket to the International Space Station on May 30 - the first time in nine years an American crew launched from US soil. The SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft undocked from the International Space Station Saturday with two US astronauts on board, beginning their 19-hour journey back to Earth despite a storm threatening the return.
