As a result, 12 officers were injured. "We are relating this video in an attempt to be transparent and will continue to released videos of significant incidents," the Seattle Police Department said. What started out as a peaceful protest Sunday against police brutality, quickly turned violent in the afternoon, as a group of demonstrators carrying baseball bats began breaking windows and tagging buildings with paint, police said in a statement.

Two men were left dead and a woman was wounded in a Los Angeles-area home early Tuesday. Burbank police officers responded to the home around 1:25 a.m. after reports of gunshots in the area. When they arrived, they found a man in the driveway with a least one gunshot wound. As the officers were rendering aid, they heard a scream come from inside the home. Once inside, they found a married couple who both sustained gunshot wounds. Three children were also inside the home, Burbank police Sgt. Derek Green said. They were found unharmed and were into the care of the police, he said. The man in the driveway was pronounced upon the arrival of paramedics, as well as the man inside the home. The woman was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and was listed in critical condition, Green said. Investigators have not determined a motive for the killing.
BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Officials with the Baton Rouge Police Department (BRPD) have released new details about a fatal officer-involved #shooting that happened Monday, July 20. BRPD Chief Murphy Paul said during a news conference that officers responded to an apartment complex in the 4700 block of Tigerland Avenue around 1:35 a.m. after receiving a tip about a wanted suspect. The suspect was wanted for a violent felony charge, Paul said. The police chief said officers created a perimeter around the complex. Once the officers confirmed the suspect was hiding in one of the units, Paul said they attempted to make contact with the suspect. (Read the full story.)
