China turns to the bottle: Desperate travelers make homemade face masks from plastic water containers and plastic BAGS in desperate bid to avoid coronavirus. Photographs have surfaced on social media which appear to show the desperate lengths people are going to to avoid catching the deadly disease which has killed more than 130 people already.

U.S. authorities announced the discovery of the longest smuggling tunnel ever found on the Southwest border, stretching more than three-quarters of a mile from an industrial site in Tijuana, Mexico, to the San Diego area. The tunnel featured an extensive rail cart system, forced air ventilation, high voltage electrical cables and panels, an elevator at the tunnel entrance and a drainage system. While there were no arrests, no drugs found at the site and no confirmed exit point in the U.S., the length - more than 14 football fields - stunned authorities. Following the discovery Mexican law enforcement identified the entrance and U.S. investigators mapped the tunnel that extends a total of 4,309 feet. The next longest tunnel in the U.S. was discovered in San Diego in 2014. It was 2,966 feet long.

A cruise ship with 7,000 people on board is being held off the Italian coast after a Chinese woman fell ill with a suspected case of #coronavirus. The Costa Smeralda vessel is currently being held in port at Civitavecchia, 35 miles north of Rome, after a 54-year-old woman from Macau came down with a fever. She and her husband, who is not thought to have symptoms, were immediately placed in solitary confinement while a team of three doctors and a nurse went on board and tested them both for the virus. There are thought to be 6,000 passengers on board and 1,000 crew. The couple are thought to have flown from Hong Kong to Milan, joined the cruise at Savona the same day, and then visited several locations around the Mediterranean before being quarantined at Civitavecchia.The killer coronavirus rapidly sweeping the world has now infected every region of China and 20 other countries.
