Broward Sheriff’s Office robbery detectives are releasing surveillance of an armed man who robbed a convenience store near Fort Lauderdale on Jan. 10. At approximately 10:21 p.m. that night, security cameras inside of the 12th Street Food Market show a store clerk counting cash from a register when an unidentified male approaches the counter and points a gun at him. The robber demands all of the money in the clerk’s hands and directs him to remove the rest of the money from the register. Once satisfied with the amount of money he obtained, the robber orders the clerk to the ground and exits the store. Detectives are seeking any information that may help in identifying the subject. #WANTED

On December 16, 2019, at 3:20 p.m., the suspects committed an armed robbery at the T-Mobile store on Sterling Ave. in the City of Highland. Suspect 2 threatened the victim with a silver colored handgun. The suspects took cash and eight cellular telephones. They were last seen driving away in a silver Cadillac CTS. One person died and two others were injured in a gunfight in Harlem on Thursday afternoon. A 27-year-old man was shot multiple times at 135th Street and Riverside Drive around 2pm. He later died from his injuries after being wounded in the torso and legs. A second man, also 27, was shot in the torso but is expected to survive, #NYPD told @police_frequency in the Telegram . A third man, 26, was also shot several times. He is expected to survive. Police say the shooting began with a dispute in the street after a car was parked diagonally across the road. 'There were four shots, and there were two bodies down, one on either side of the car,' witness Craig Canty, 20 told. 'It was crazy. It was like they were shooting a movie. Everybody was running.' The motive for the shooting was not immediately known, and no arrests have yet been made. 👮🏻‍♂️

(WARNING:21+) Salt Lake police released body camera video from the two officers involved critical incident that took place at 170 North 1460 West on January 8, 2020. Officers attempted to stop a stolen vehicle. During the stop an officer fired his weapon and the driver, a 20-year-old male Tyler Keaton Webster, was struck. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 🔫👮🏻‍♂️ #shooting

The Newport News police department is mourning the loss of a police officer. On Thursday, at 6:47 p.m., the unidentified officer conducted a traffic stop on in the 1400 block of 16th Street. At some point during the encounter with the driver, he accelerated, dragging the officer. The vehicle fled the scene and crashed nearby in the area of 16th Street and Walnut Avenue. The driver was taken into custody after the crash. The officer that was dragged suffered multiple injuries and was transported by medics to a local area hospital–where she later died. Police say no further information will be released until a press conference.

An earthquake initially measured at magnitude 4.6 struck near Barstow, Calif., on Friday night, followed by two aftershocks, according to reports. The quake struck around 7 p.m. local time, followed by aftershocks of magnitude 2.2 and 2.9, FOX 11 of Los Angeles reported. There were no immediate reports of injuries, according to the station. Barstow is about 114 miles northeast of Los Angeles.
