Dozens of people were killed in a stampede as mourners packed streets for the funeral of a slain Iranian military commander in his hometown on Tuesday, forcing his burial to be postponed, state-affiliated media reported. Tens of thousands of people had gathered in the southeastern city of Kerman to pay tribute to General Qassem Soleimani, whose killing in a U.S. drone strike in Iraq on Friday plunged the region into a new crisis and raised fears of a broader conflict. According to Reuters tuesday’s stampede broke out amid the crush of mourners, killing at least 40 people and injuring about 213, an emergency services official told the semi-official Fars news agency. A rock formation in Puerto Rico that was a popular tourist destination was reduced to rubble after the first of two powerful earthquakes rocked the island Monday. The arch was just one of the few naturally occurring arches on the island until a 5.8-magnitude quake that struck early Monday morning off the island's southern coast caused it to collapse. Seismologists say that shallow quakes were occurring along three faults in Puerto Rico’s southwest region: Lajas Valley, Montalva Point and the Guayanilla Canyon, as the North American plate and the Caribbean plate squeeze Puerto Rico. Monday's earthquake that brought down Punta Ventana had been the strongest yet until a 6.4-magnitude earthquake struck Puerto Rico before dawn on Tuesday. The 6.4-magnitude quake that left at least one man dead and eight others injured cut power to the island as power plants shut down to protect themselves.

(WARNING 21+) Las Vegas police released video footage from last week's shooting inside an apartment complex office building during Monday's press conference. The shooting suspect was 93-year-old Robert Thomas who reportedly came to the office because he was upset about water damage and flooding in his apartment. Thomas was arrested in the shooting and the victim in the incident was treated at a local hospital. Robert Thomas, who has been a Las Vegas resident for 30 years, appeared in front of a judge on Friday afternoon. He will be released on mid-level electronic monitoring if 15% of the $25,000 is posted. A defense lawyer told the court that the incident may have happened due to mental illness. Thomas told the court it has been 2-3 years since he saw a doctor. Thomas has no family in Las Vegas. He was also ordered to stay away from the apartment complex if released. 🔫 #shooting

Fox News’ Chris Wallace during the recent interview with the U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo asked him a question, in which he tried to connect the U.S airstrike and Qassem Soleimani’s death to the President Trump’s impeachment, and received an ingenious and ironical answer.

The latest U.S. intelligence assessment showed Iran had more than 2,000 ballistic missiles, Pentagon officials told Fox News. The USS Harry Truman aircraft carrier strike group has been in the Gulf of Oman along with guided-missile destroyers, a guided-missile cruiser and at least one submarine. The Navy warships and submarine together had hundreds of Tomahawk cruise missiles with pre-planned targets locked into the missiles. The ships would be ready to fire if given the order, two senior Pentagon officials told Fox News.
