All protesters withdraw from U.S. embassy perimeter, reported Rueters. All members of paramilitary groups and their supporters who have been protesting against U.S. air strikes in Iraq have withdrawn from the perimeter of the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad on Wednesday, the Iraqi military said. “All protesters have withdrawn, tents dismantled, and other forms of demonstrating that accompanied these protests have ended and the Iraqi security forces have completely secured the embassy perimeter,” it said in a statement.
A man wounded in the Hanukkah stabbings north of New York City may have permanent brain damage and be partially paralyzed for the rest of his life, his family said. The Orthodox Jewish Public Affairs Council released a statement from the family of Josef Neumann, 71, and a graphic photograph Wednesday showing severe head injuries he received Saturday at a rabbi's home in Monsey, New York, FOX 5 New York reports. Four other people were injured in the attack, which federal prosecutors say was a hate crime. The photograph shows an intubated Neumann with a swollen and disfigured face lying in a hospital bed. A gash to his head appears to have been stitched up.
One day after the puppy was reported stolen at gunpoint in Prince George’s County, police say he has been recovered. According to Prince George's County police, someone saw Lobo in the District and reported it. Police drove to D.C., and recovered the puppy. They are still investigating the robbery. On Monday, police said two suspects stole the Landover puppy at gunpoint, and that they should be considered armed and dangerous. Investigators say the victim was walking “Lobo” around 1:40 p.m. at Kent Village Drive and East Ridge Drive when a vehicle pulled over and a woman walked to the trunk. The woman then reportedly pulled out a gun and demanded the dog. The victim tried to seize the gun, and the two struggled before a second suspect – an adult male - reportedly approached. When the victim gave up on the gun, the woman tried pulling the trigger, but it didn’t fire. The suspects drove off in what witnesses described as a Ford Crown Victoria with Virginia license plates. 🐶👮🏻♂️
Only a few hours into 2020 and Missouri's second largest city recorded four homicides in multiple shootings across St. Louis. The St. Louis Police Department reports the incidents – in which a total of eight people were shot – began rolling in shortly after midnight, when a teenager was shot in the thigh in a neighborhood on the city's northwest side. Not even a half-hour after the first incident was reported, three people were found fatally shot in an intersection in the city's Benton Park neighborhood. Shortly after the third shooting, a fourth incident was reported on the 3400 block of Wyoming Ave., where a man reported suffering a graze wound after gunfire was reported. Another early-morning shooting was reported in the St. Louis suburb of Creve Coeur, Mo. Officers responded to a 911 call around 1:30 a.m. and found two teens shot at the home, FOX2 reported. 👮🏻♂️
Brookside police released dramatic bodycam footage of the capture and arrest of a California man accused of abducting an Alabama woman. The Brookside Police Department reports that Sean E. Sanders has been officially charged with numerous felonies following his arrest on Sunday. The victim, only identified as a white female, was rescued and taken to a hospital for medical care. Although she’s now in stable condition, she sustained numerous injuries after Sanders reportedly beat her with a tire iron.

(WARNING 21+) Louisville Metro Police Department released body camera video after an officer fired his weapon, striking a suspect on Dec. 26.According to LMPD Major Jamey Schwab with the Special Investigations unit, LMPD officers were flagged down by an Enterprise Rental employee at the LMPD Training Academy around 2 p.m. The employee told officers a Ford Flex, which had been stolen from Enterprise, was spotted near the Walgreens at 700 Algonquin Parkway. After verifying the license plate, LMPD confirmed the vehicle was stolen and headed to the scene. Officers said the suspect, identified as Thomas Edwin Brooks, refused to obey the commands. Instead, he backed up the vehicle and accelerated toward Officer Jason Maguire, striking him. Officer Maguire fired his weapon, striking the windshield, side window and Brooks’ right arm. 🔫👮🏻♂️ #shooting
