(WARNING 21+) The Christmas holiday had a tragic start for a family in central Florida. The Volusia County Sheriff's Office said deputies had to shoot and kill a man who shot his sister right in front of them. The incident began as a domestic dispute on Christmas…
Eventually a third party made contact with the woman and told her to leave the house and turn toward where deputies were waiting for her, the sheriff's office said. As she walked out of the house, the sheriff's office said the suspect rushed out and shot her in the shoulder. The bullet ricocheted and struck her in the face. At that moment, deputies opened fire on the suspect, killing him. He's been identified as 65-year-old Harvey Cantrell. The shooting victim is expected to survive. She's stable at Central Florida Hospital in Sanford. The victim came to Deltona to visit her brother after their mother died. The deputies involved in the shooting are on paid administrative leave, which is standard protocol after the use of deadly force. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is handling the investigation.👮🏻‍♂️

A U.S. Border Patrol K-9 agent was involved in a single vehicle accident along Highway 395 early Sunday morning. The agent, who was patrolling an area northwest of Colville, struck black ice along a section of Highway 395 causing the service vehicle to lose traction, Breaking 911 reports. The vehicle then went over a steep embankment and rolled multiple times. Rescuers were able to extract the agent from the vehicle using the Jaws of Life. The agent was transported to the hospital with multiple injuries. The agent’s K-9 partner, Jackie, however succumbed to the injuries from the accident and died at the scene. K-9 Jackie had been serving since April of 2015. “Thank you to all the rescuers and medical staff involved and please remember K-9 Jackie and the agent in your thoughts and prayers,” stated Acting Chief Patrol Agent David BeMiller. “We understand the risks that we take as well as our K-9 partners; it is never easy when we lose a partner.”🗿 #RIP
West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice on Monday approved the termination of dozens of Corrections Academy trainees seen in a photograph appearing to give a Nazi salute, reports FOX News. The photograph, released publicly earlier this month by the West Virginia Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety, showed more than 30 trainees from Basic Training Class 18 with their arms raised in a salute. The caption “Hail Byrd!” – a reference to the trainees’ instructor – is visible above the group. Before the image was released, Jeff Sandy, the agency’s secretary, had written a memo in which he derided the image as “distasteful, hurtful, disturbing, highly insensitive, and completely inappropriate.” He said the image “betrays the professionalism I have seen time and time again displayed and practiced by our brave correctional employees.”

Demonstrators smashed their way into the U.S. Embassy compound in Baghdad on Tuesday as protests intensified following deadly U.S. airstrikes that killed 25 fighters of an Iran-backed militia in Iraq, USA Today reports. Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, who has condemned the airstrikes, urged protesters to leave the embassy area and halt the violence. "Any aggression or harassment of foreign embassies and representations is an act that will be strictly prohibited by the security forces and will be punished by law with the most severe penalties," Mahdi said in a statement. Protesters smashed a door and set fire to a reception area. Smoke and flames were seen rising from the area. A man on a loudspeaker urged the mob not to enter the compound, saying: “The message was delivered.” No deaths or serious injuries were immediately reported.

If this were a group of white attackers, the media would be reporting on this for 47 days straight, the ADL would be calling for more antisemitism laws, and the POCs in Congress would be calling for another hearing on white nationalism. Since this attack, and actually less than 10% of anti-Jewish attacks, are perpetrated by whites - the media will remain silent until the right type of perpetrator surfaces. https://twitter.com/chabadlubavitch/status/1211807086306365440?s=21

Iraqi President Barham Salih rejected on Tuesday attempts to breach the United States embassy in Baghdad, saying they were a violation of binding international agreements to protect foreign missions that the Iraqi government is signatory to. “The attempt to break the American embassy in Baghdad is a violation of international protocols and agreements binding to the Iraqi government,” he said in a statement, reported Reuters. “Peaceful protest is a right guaranteed and protected by the constitution but attacking foreign missions is against its interest and international reputation.” Salih called on the Iraqi security forces to protect all foreign missions and on the protesters to leave the embassy perimeter.
