Hong Kong police arrest 4 for ‘money laundering’ and freeze HK$70m used to support pro-democracy protesters, HK Free Press reports. “We found these four arrested persons in connection with an organisation named Spark Alliance, which is a prominent online fundraising platform for the current civil unrest,” said Acting Senior Superintendent Chan Wai-kei of Financial Investigation Division of Narcotics Bureau. Police said the operation was based on “suspicious financial transactions” over the past six months conducted by a shell company, including large cash deposits and funds used to buy personal insurance products. #HK
The Federal Security Service, or FSB, said the shooting occurred at a building directly behind its headquarters on Lubyanka Square, FOX News reports. It declined to give further information. The gunfire erupted around the same time Russian President Vladimir Putin was giving a speech at a Kremlin concert specifically for FSB and other Russian security personnel. Putin's spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said the president has been informed of the shooting. The FSB, which is the main successor agency to the Soviet-era KGB, earlier said the assailant behind the attack had been “neutralized.” A motive was not immediately clear.

(WARNING 21+) Surveillance video and body camera footage released Tuesday by San Francisco police shed light on the moments that led up to officers shooting a 24-year-old man in the Mission District earlier this month. Jamaica Hampton, a formerly homeless man from Sacramento, was shot on 23rd Street between Mission and Capp streets on the morning of Dec. 7. The videos appear to show a man identified by police as Hampton cross the street in front of a police car at 23rd and Mission streets. As an officer opens the passenger door of the vehicle, the man quickly advances toward the car. A confrontation ensued in which the man appears to strike one of the officers with what police say was a glass vodka bottle. As the man runs in the direction of an officer, the officer opens fire and the man falls to the ground. The man then appears to struggle to get up, at which time the other officer discharged his firearm. 🔫👮🏻♂️ #shooting

A shooting at a senior housing complex in Rhode Island late Thursday morning left two people dead - including the gunman - and two others injured, police said. State police told the Providence Journal and WPRI-TV that the shooting unfolded at a housing complex for the elderly in Westerly, a town along the Connecticut state line, reported FOX News. Westerly Police Chief Shawn Lacey told reporters that investigators reviewed surveillance footage to track down the suspect in one of the apartment units. When police breached the room, the suspect appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said. Investigators determined that the suspect was a 66-year-old who lived at the facility. Another resident, also 66, was shot and killed, while two workers, ages 38 and 47, were injured and rushed to nearby hospitals, Lacey said. One of the injured was in critical condition and the other was in stable condition after surgery.

As many as six people may be dead — including a police officer, two suspects and three civilians — during an "ambush" active shooter situation at a store in Jersey City Tuesday afternoon, officials and law enforcement sources said. Law enforcement sources…
Take a good look at this picture. This is Sgt. Majorie Jordan of the Jersey City Police Department. Sgt. Jordan abandoned her position of cover and ran out into the open to the aid of her police officer that was shot in the shoulder. She assisted him to his feet and got him to safety, all while taking heavy gunfire. Zoom in the pic and remember her face, that his the face of a true hero warrior who risked her own life for that of her officer. Thank you Sgt. Jordan for your heroism and selfless act to save another. This is one of the amazing heroic stories to come out of yesterday’s tragic events. My thoughts and prayers are with my brothers, sisters, and friends of the JCPD.👮🏻♂️

Deputies from the Harris County Precinct 5 Constable's Office were quick to rescue a man trapped in his vehicle during a fire, and it was all caught on camera, ABC 13 reports. It all happened around 6 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, in the 15200 block of Clay Road, when 20-year-old Jonathan Morales-Fuentes fell asleep behind the wheel and crashed into a tree. According to authorities, a sergeant was on his way home when he found the vehicle on fire and saw a wrecker driver was attempting to get in the car. "I never took that road to go home before. I was going back to leave a report at the office," said Sgt. Lance Anderson, who drove up on the burning car. "There were so many coincidences that morning." Anderson added he believes he was meant to be there and meant to save a life. Anderson called other deputies to the scene and used multiple fire extinguishers to temporarily slow down the flames.🔥👮🏻♂️

(WARNING 21+) The moment of elimination of the Moscow shooter.
Russian investigators on Friday named a man who opened fire on the headquarters of the country's FSB security service as Yevgeny Manyurov, a 39-year-old former security guard from just outside Moscow, reported Reuters. They made the statement after searching his home in the early hours of Friday morning and questioning his neighbors. Manyurov, who was shot dead during the attack, opened fire on the FSB’s main building in Moscow on Thursday evening, killing one FSB employee outright and wounding five others, including one civilian. Russian investigators said in their statement on Friday that a second FSB employee had been seriously wounded in the same attack and had later died from his wounds in hospital.
