Jimmy Carter has been hospitalized on Monday for a procedure to relieve brain pressure after recent falls, The Carter Center said. The 95-year-old 'was admitted to Emory University Hospital this evening for a procedure to relieve pressure on his brain, caused by bleeding due to his recent falls,' The Carter Center said in a statement, adding that the procedure would take place on Tuesday morning. 'President Carter is resting comfortably, and his wife, Rosalynn, is with him,' it said. He was hospitalized for treatment after suffering a fractured pelvis due to a fall in October.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office obtained an arrest warrant for Michael Alexander Brown, 22, in connection with the shooting death of his mother’s boyfriend, Rodney Brown, several days earlier, Fox News reports. Deputies were dispatched to a Franklin County home at around 12 p.m. Saturday over reports that the homeowner was found dead on the property. Investigators later determined that the victim was allegedly killed by his live-in girlfriend’s son, who was later identified as Brown. The sheriff’s office said that Brown car a 2008 Lincoln Town Car with North Carolina license plates.
