Los Angeles Police Department’s (LAPD) Force Investigation Division is investigating an Officer-Involved Shooting (OIS) that occurred in Hollywood Division.

On September 12, 2026, at around 9:35 p.m., Hollywood Patrol Division uniformed officers responded to a radio call of an ambulance cutting at a residence in the 9300 block of Warbler Way.

Upon their arrival to the location, they were directed to a male victim inside the residence who was suffering from stab wounds. A rescue ambulance was requested for this victim. While inside the residence, the officers learned the suspect was in a bedroom with an additional male and was still armed with a knife. Additional officers responded to the location and a team was assembled to take the suspect into custody. As the officers approached the bedroom, they observed the suspect struggling with the additional male over the knife and heard the suspect making statements he was going to kill the male.
