PRAYERS UP for a Texas police officer who was shot to death while SLEEPING inside his own apartment with his baby boy nearby.
Officer Daniel Trujillo was just 36 years old.
His sister, Veronica, shared the heartbreaking details of her brother’s death, saying through the family’s fundraiser that Daniel never had a chance to defend himself.
She says his body wasn’t discovered until hours later.
Houston police confirm Daniel was found Friday afternoon inside an apartment along the Katy Freeway with multiple gunshot wounds.
Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Daniel served with the Taft Police Department in South Texas for three years.

"CPL. Davis succumbed to injuries he received from an off-duty motor vehicle accident that occurred yesterday evening on HWY 31 N at the I-65 Pine Level Exit. The loss of CPL. Davis is devastating not only to the Prattville Police Department but the City of Prattville and he will be missed by all. We ask that you keep his wife, his family and the PPD in your thoughts and prayers. A law enforcement escort for CPL. Davis will be passing by on I-65 from Montgomery to Millbrook shortly. The accident investigation is still on going by ALEA, more information will be released in the future."

On Monday, October 12, 2026, investigators assigned to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) Major Crimes Bureau (MCB) Cargo Criminal Apprehension Team (CCATS) received information a load of Sig Sauer products, worth approximately $500,000, was picked up fictitiously at a warehouse near the 4200 block of West 190th Street, Torrance, California.
Detectives located the stolen cargo and arrested Arman Mnatsakanyan MO/26 and Ashot Yesayan MO/23, both of Glendale. The stolen cargo consisted of firearm parts and accessories. All of the cargo was returned to its owner.
Both suspects were booked for Grand Theft Cargo. The case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Street Takeover Task Force conducted maximum enforcement patrols last weekend in nearby communities: Crescenta Valley, Carson, Compton, and the unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County. 22 arrests were made for various offenses including driving with a suspended driver’s license, illegally possessed weapons, possession of narcotics, reckless driving, exhibition of speed, driving under the influence causing injury, driving under the influence of alcohol, and felony evading.
104 citations were issued and 55 vehicles were found to have emissions or exhaust violations that require an inspection with the state referee.
Our team has successfully prevented large, unpermitted car shows that attracting illegally modified cars and street takeover crews, which were advertised on social media. These events were going to take place in the cities of Cudahy and Carson.

A Tampa woman is behind bars after fleeing deputies in a stolen vehicle and striking a patrol car in the process.
On October 27, 2026, at approximately 8:40 a.m., HCSO’s Real Time Crime Center alerted teamHCSO deputies to a vehicle reported stolen by the Tampa Police Department, traveling northbound on N. 15th St. from E. 122nd Ave.
Deputies quickly located the vehicle parked in a business complex at 1509 E. Fletcher Ave. With emergency lights activated, deputies attempted to box in the vehicle to apprehend the suspect.
The driver, Jessica Johnson, 37, refused to comply with the command to stop. As she fled, Johnson nearly struck one of the responding deputies and struck a patrol vehicle.
Deputies pursued the vehicle and conducted a PIT maneuver near N. 37th St. and Cambridge Woods Dr. Johnson was removed from the vehicle and taken into custody, and is facing several charges.
