Kayleb is a father of two little girls who attend that very school. He reportedly lives nearby and was heading home on his lunch break when he heard gunshots and realized something horrific was happening at his daughters’ school!!
He reportedly ran toward the school, knowing his daughters were inside. I honestly cannot even imagine the fear that must’ve been going through him.
Kayleb deserves an ENORMOUS amount of gratitude for stepping in when those children needed help most. ❤️🙏 he’s a HERO!!

Congratulations to Officer Deloa and his K-9 partner Koa, who recently graduated from the K-9 training school.
The K-9 training school is among the most exhaustive in our profession, consisting of 400 hours of extensive fieldwork, scenario-based practice and classroom instruction over 10 weeks.
Koa is a Belgian Malinois / German Shepherd cross trained in patrol and narcotics detection. The two worked their first patrol shift yesterday.

It was a pleasure to attend a White House luncheon yesterday at the Rose Garden, hosted by President Trump, honoring law enforcement and fire and rescue First Responders from across the Country. Sheriffs Wellman (SD), Skinner (TX), and Chapman (VA) represented the National Sheriffs’ Association and are pictured with Attorney General Todd Blanche.

NEW: A woman was inside her minivan in traffic when a massive tree came crashing down on her in Santa Clarita, California, Austin Dave reports.
The van was traveling north on McBean Parkway near Magic Mountain Parkway around 12:40 p.m. when the tree toppled onto it amid strong Santa Ana winds. The woman was injured but got out and made it to an ambulance, a witness said.
Witness Christian and his father were about 100 feet away when they heard the tree fall.
NWS Los Angeles warned that gusts of 50 to 70 mph were possible in wind-prone areas of Los Angeles and Ventura counties, including the Interstate 5 corridor. The agency warned that damaging winds could topple trees and power lines.

A teacher fought back against a school shooter as an armed bystander rushed into a classroom and opened fire, striking the gunman multiple times, police say.
In a new update on the Silver Rail Elementary School shooting in Bend, Oregon, authorities say the suspect entered a classroom and fired as many as 15 rounds, striking all of the victims inside.
A 36-year-old man who had parked at the school retrieved a legally secured handgun from his vehicle and rushed toward the building. After hearing gunfire and spotting the teacher physically struggling with the suspect, he entered the classroom and fired his weapon.
Police say the exact number of rounds fired remains under investigation.

Just after 7 a.m. Friday, Placer County Sheriff’s Office K9 Sonic was shot by an armed woman barricaded inside a home on Quarry Lane in Penryn. K9 Sonic was rushed to a veterinary hospital for treatment. During an exchange of gunfire, the woman, 30-year-old Linda Mullennix was struck.
Late Thursday evening detectives attempted to serve an arrest warrant for resisting/obstructing a peace officer (148 PC) and an eviction order signed by a judge on Mullennix. Mullennix also has a history of threatening neighbors, was known to be in possession of a gun, and has been the subject of multiple calls for service. She then pointed a gun at the detective from a window inside the home and threatened to shoot him.
We ask our community to join us in praying for our K9 officer and his handler. He is in excellent hands at Loomis Basin Veterinary. He was hit in the leg and is expected to recover.🙏🏻
