NEW: A Starr County Texas Sheriff's Office deputy rolled over in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 83 near Conquistador Road while responding to a domestic disturbance call early Friday morning.
The crash happened around 3:03 a.m. The deputy was on the way to a call involving reported assaults. Two people stopped at the scene and helped pull the deputy from the patrol vehicle.
The deputy was taken to a nearby hospital and is in stable condition. Please join us in sending prayers and, or positive thoughts for his recovery🙏🏻

NEW: On September 27, 2026, at 3:10AM, Fayette County Deputy, Sergeant Dan Hostetler was responding to an emergency situation near the City of Oelwein, Iowa.
Sgt. Hostetler was driving south on Neon Road, when a black angus beef cow ran onto the roadway in front of the squad car. Sgt. Hostetler did not have time to avoid the cow and struck it with the front of his 2025 Ford Explorer, totaling the vehicle. Sgt. Hostetler was taken to Palmer Hospital and treated for minor injuries. NEW: An early morning head-on crash between a Virginia State Police vehicle and a wrong-way driver landed the trooper in the hospital and the driver in trouble.
It happened around 1 a.m. Oct. 4 on northbound Interstate 295 in Prince George County, VSP Sgt. Jessica Shehan said in an email.
Shehan said a trooper was attempted to intercept the driver at the 5-mile marker, about two miles north of the U.S.Route 460 interchange. The trooper had activated his emergency lights, but the driver reportedly came toward him at a high rate of speed and crashed head-on into the police car.

BREAKING: A missing 14-year-old girl from Monterey County has been rescued by Mexican authorities, and her father was arrested, according to Monterey County Sheriff’s Office.
The teen is thought to be the mother of an infant, nicknamed "Baby Angelita," who was found dead on the side of the road in August. Authorities say her father, Sergio Galvez Perez, was the father of the slain newborn.
A statewide Amber Alert was issued for the 14-year-old girl last month after the baby was found dead.

A diver came to a stingray’s rescue after it after it got stuck inside a tire off the coast of Jamaica.
Lee-Ann Rando of Lady G Diver encountered the trapped stingray while taking part in an underwater excursion near Port Antonio on the northeastern part of the island.
Rando said she observed the cartilaginous creature for about 15 minutes and noticed it would “just circle around inside the tire, clearly agitated.”
