MEXICAN NAVY SHIP SAILS INTO SF 🚢🌉

The Mexican Navy’s iconic tall ship ARM Cuauhtémoc sailed underneath the Golden Gate Bridge Wednesday morning, arriving in San Francisco for a four-day goodwill visit. 🇲🇽🇺🇸

The massive training vessel entered the Bay around 8:45 AM and is now docked at Piers 15–17 along the Embarcadero. This marks the ship’s first visit to San Francisco in 17 years.

The ship serves as a floating classroom for Mexican Navy midshipmen, training them in navigation, seamanship and leadership. There are 281 crew members aboard during its current 92-day training voyage. ⚓️

BREAKING: The U.S. Coast Guard says eight adults suspected of illegally entering the U.S. were detained Tuesday after a 21-foot vessel was intercepted about 6 miles offshore of Point Loma in San Diego.

All eight were transferred to U.S. Border Patrol agents for further investigation.

NEW: A Kansas City police motorcycle officer was hurt in a crash while trying to stop a speeding car in a school zone in Northland Thursday morning, a police spokesman said.

The crash occurred shortly before 8:20 a.m. near Northeast 108th Street and North Richmond Avenue in Kansas City, North, said Sgt. Phil DiMartino of the Kansas City Police Department.

The officer was working school zone enforcement on the south side of Northeast 108th Street near Kelly Brook Elementary and Rising Hill Elementary schools, DiMartino said.

As the officer attempted to catch up to a speeding vehicle, the motorcycle crashed. The officer was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Please join us in sending prayers and, or positive thoughts for his recovery🙏🏻
