ICE SAYS IT WANTED THIS MAN TRANSFERRED INTO FEDERAL CUSTODY after his Denver assault arrest, but Denver County did not honor the immigration detainer and now federal agents say he is AT LARGE.

ICE Denver identified the man as Eduardo Aular Guerrero, a Venezuelan national who was arrested September 8 on an assault allegation. According to the agency, it issued an immigration detainer asking the Denver County Jail to hold him for transfer, but the request was not honored before his release.

ICE subsequently turned to the public for help locating him.

Whatever happens next, ICE says the man it wanted transferred directly from the jail is now back on the street and being sought by federal agents.

BREAKING UPDATE: At least three homes have burned and several others are threatened after a brush fire erupted in the La Habra Heights area.

Firefighters are battling a brush fire that has burned multiple homes in La Habra Heights, near Orange and Los Angeles counties, with evacuation warnings issued for surrounding areas.

The fire, which broke out Monday afternoon, appears to have quickly climbed a hillside and engulfed multiple homes in flames. LACoFD says the fire has burned about 10 acres.

UPDATE: Nathaniel James McGuire, 22, of Santa Maria, pleaded guilty today to detonating a bomb inside the Santa Maria courthouse intending to kill sheriff’s deputies. The explosion injured three people and sent five to the hospital. He faces up to life in federal prison.

After the bombing, McGuire retrieved two long guns and 10 Molotov cocktails from his vehicle to re-enter the courthouse, kill deputies, and “splatter” a judge. Court security and law enforcement stopped him.

Bombing a courthouse and attempting to murder judges and law enforcement officers is an act of domestic terrorism. Crimes of this severity demand severe punishment, and we intend to seek a severe prison sentence.
