NEW: A Crosby man punched a Brainerd police officer in the face, tried to grab the officer’s gun and later knocked another officer unconscious with a kick to the head during a midday confrontation at Bane Park, Minnesota.

Felo Pierre Simenstad, 19, got off the bike and punched the officer in the face, knocking him to the ground, then continued throwing punches. The complaint states Simenstad grabbed the officer’s holstered handgun with both hands and tried to open the retention hood.

Both eventually got to their feet, and the officer deployed his taser into Simenstad’s back, but Simenstad managed to run into the woods as the officer was unable to chase him due to an ankle injury.

He then violently kicked another officer in the face, causing the officer to lose consciousness and collapse.

Please join us in sending prayers and, or positive thoughts for the officers recoveryπŸ™πŸ»

HORRIFIC: Newly released bodycam shows Georgia police Sgt. Chris Fisher arresting the man authorities say would shoot and kill him just five days later.

Jimmy Lee Steverson, 23, was restrained and tased after fighting with officers during the Aug. 27 arrest. Police found approximately 34.6 grams of marijuana and three rifles inside his truck. He was charged and released on a $10,000 bond.

Five days later, authorities say Steverson pulled alongside Fisher’s patrol car and opened fire, killing the 36-year-old officer.

Steverson later died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound after deputies stopped his vehicle in South Carolina.

NEW: A Massachusetts family says the state took custody of their teenage daughter after they refused to affirm her as a boy, citing their Catholic faith.

The parents allege a school counselor socially transitioned their daughter without their knowledge, then reported them to the Department of Children and Families.

Now the state has guardianship, and a restraining order prevents the teen's parents and older brother from contacting her.

A judge has temporarily blocked the state from administering high-dose testosterone as the family fights the case. The next court hearing is set for Oct. 29.

LATEST: Flash flooding brought on by heavy rains prompted road closures, water rescues and commuter rail problems across the tristate area Sunday.

The National Weather Service said the hardest-hit areas appeared to be northern New Jersey, parts of New York’s Westchester County and a swath of coastal Connecticut along Interstate 95. The service issued flash flood warnings across the region for much of the morning Sunday as rain fell at a rate of 1 to 2 inches (2.5 to 5 centimeters) an hour in places.

Metro-North and Amtrak said their rail lines to New Haven, which serve Norwalk, Bridgeport and other major Connecticut communities, were experiencing delays and cancellations due to flooding impacts.

Tweed New Haven Airport also closed its departures terminal due to local flash flooding. Airport officials in a Facebook post said travelers with flights departing Sunday should not come until further notice.

Vice President JD Vance had a simple idea: Why don’t we have a Most Wanted Fraudsters list?

So we built one.

In just 3 months: 5 fraudsters captured, 4,000+ days on the run, nearly $2 BILLION in alleged fraudβ€”across 3 continents.

The American people remain one of the FBI’s greatest partners.

You give us the information. We find them. We bring them to justice.

We formally request an investigation into THIS GUY. On the 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF 9/11, hundreds of protesters and counterprotesters converged outside New York City Hall while families just blocks away were remembering nearly 3,000 people murdered in the worst terrorist attack on American soil.

One man was also captured repeatedly shouting β€œAllahu Akbar” (yes, really) during the confrontation. Can you even imagine a protest like this happening even ten years ago?

The demonstration centered on opposition to Mayor Zohran Mamdani attending the Ground Zero ceremony, with activist Jake Lang leading one group and counterprotesters gathering against it. Video from the confrontation showed shouting, physical clashes and at least one arrest as police worked to keep the groups separated.

One man was also captured repeatedly shouting β€œAllahu Akbar” during the confrontation, adding another jarring image to an already chaotic scene on an extraordinarily sensitive anniversary.

I'm challenging Sheriff Robert Luna to a debate. Anywhere. Anytime. Any TV station, radio outlet, or newspaper in LA County can host it. No conditions.

Luna has said he welcomes anyone to fact-check his record. Good. Let's do it on a stage, in front of the voters, on rising crime, homelessness, and transparency.

If he stands behind his record, he should have no problem standing next to me and defending it.

He has one week to respond. If he says no, ask him why.

JD Vance just DEPORTED another protester from his event in Kansas:

β€œThe last time I gave a speech and we had a guy who was interrupting, he had the courtesy to bring a Mexican flag so we knew where he stood”

Vance told that protester at the RNC: β€œIf you love Mexico so much, get your ass over there. I'll buy you the plane ticket”

This is exactly how you handle these people.

NEW: National Police Assoc. backs GOP-launched petition against Shelby Co. DA.

The National Police Association is supporting a Change.org petition, initiated by Luke Cymbal of the Shelby County Republican Party, urging Shelby County DA Steve Mulroy to withdraw his lawsuit against two Tennessee laws. The legislation, passed in April 2026, includes the β€œMemphis Safe Task Force Accountability Act,” which mandates reports on charge dismissals, and the β€œAudit and Pro Tem Act,” allowing the state Attorney General to review the DA’s internal files. The NPA argues these measures are necessary for public accountability.
