HERO ALERT: A lot of fathers say they would die for their kids. Fred Pepperman actually did.
In July 2019, his three daughters became trapped in a powerful rip current off the Florida coast. Fred went after them.
Fred and others managed to get his daughters out of the water alive, but Fred did not survive.
The 53-year-old father was pulled from the water, CPR was performed, and he was later pronounced de*d at the hospital.
His wife said it better than anyone else could: βHe did everything a dad is supposed to do.β
Three daughters survived that day because when they needed their father, he went straight into the water.
βI got you.β
Those may be three of the most powerful last words a father could leave behind. We need a reminder of what good, brave men look like in today's society. Let Fred be the example.

NEW: Two Aurora Colorado police officers were involved in a crash and the suspect was arrested on Tuesday.
The crash occurred as officers were responding to a separate incident with lights and sirens activated. Two officers were injured and are being transported to an area hospital.
Police said the officers were responding with lights and sirens to a report of a fight during dismissal outside Prairie Middle School at the time of the crash.
After the initial collision, the patrol vehicle rolled onto its side and into two other vehicles. A Good Samaritan helped rescue the officers from the patrol vehicle that had overturned and the officers were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
Investigators said the driver, a 32-year-old Aurora man, then tried to leave the scene of the crash, but was stopped by officers about a block away. Officers detained the suspect for suspected DUI, leaving the scene of a crash and failing to yield to an emergency vehicle.
The two officers that were injured in this collision were released last night from the hospital. Please join us in sending prayers and, or positive thoughts for their recoveryππ»

Four members of Chicago's primary police oversight agency tried to oust one of their colleagues from the city's police superintendent search.
That failed.
The commission also tried to hide the email paper trail behind it.
Now, that failed too.

An Uzbek national truck driver is accused of causing a de*dly crash, then lying about what happened.
Khasan Begbaev, 39, of Brooklyn, told police he had taken the wrong exit and was moving slowly with his hazard lights on when another vehicle struck his trailer. But investigators say the video inside his truck showed something very different.
According to the arrest affidavit, Begbaev stopped his semi on an Interstate 30 ramp at 2:32 a.m. and then started BACKING DOWN THE HIGHWAY as other vehicles passed.
Two minutes later, 33-year-old Lisa Maldonado's SUV slammed into the rear of the trailer.
Her vehicle caught fire. She later died at Parkland Memorial Hospital.
The Uzbek national is now charged with second-degree felony manslaughter.
Backing an 18-wheeler down a highway ramp in the middle of the night is an absolutely insane and a 33-year-old woman paid the price.
