Praise God! President Trump announces American missionary Kevin Rideout is FREE after more than nine months in captivity.
Three armed men abducted Rideout in Niamey, Niger, on October 21, 2025. For more than nine months, his family and fellow missionaries waited without knowing when, or whether, he would be released.
Now President Trump says Rideout is back in U.S. custody and in good health.
An American missionary was taken by armed captors on foreign soil. Today he is alive, free and under American protection.
THAT is what Americans should expect from their government.
Weak leaders deliver excuses about why citizens cannot be rescued. America First leadership makes bringing them back a national priority.
Welcome Kevin back and pray for every American still being held overseas. No American should ever be abandoned.

π° TAX DOLLARS AT WORK: Hochul just committed $7.25 MILLION to legal services for roughly 1,400 unaccompanied immigrant children facing removal proceedings.
The money will flow through a coalition led by the Hispanic Federation after a federal legal-services contract expired on July 31.
New York had other options: recruit pro bono attorneys as federal law encourages, fund basic legal orientation, press federal officials for faster hearings and demand enforcement of final removal orders. Paid representation could be prioritized for trafficking victims and children whose cases present potentially valid claims for protection.
Not to mention the federal government had already assigned a temporary legal-services provider and awarded a new contract BEFORE Hochul announced this spending.
Even so, now New Yorkers will pick up the bill while total state funding for the Office for New Americans approaches a staggering $87 MILLION.
Families are being crushed by rent, groceries, utilities and the second-highest overall state tax burden in America. Albanyβs priority is building an even larger taxpayer-funded immigration legal machine.
Should New Yorkers be forced to finance these removal fights?

UPDATE: At least six deaths in Indiana have been linked to storms that triggered what many described as historic flooding, according to Gov. Mike Braun.
Several dozen people and their pets were rescued Saturday as floodwaters rose along the White River in Indianapolis, and emergency managers said that number was expected to climb as authorities in the city and elsewhere in central Indiana responded to the ongoing flood threats.
"This is one of those once-in-a-lifetime type floods," Jacob Spence, director of Marion County Emergency Management, told The Associated Press. "So yeah, this is an unprecedented event and unfortunately we're setting some new records."

Gov. Mike Braun: "I spoke with President Trump today about the severe storms and historic flooding impacting Indiana, and he informed me that he intends to approve our request for a Presidential Emergency Declaration.
Iβm grateful to President Trump for his commitment to getting Hoosiers the federal assistance we need as we continue responding and recovering."

The liberals are going to HATE this one: America recorded its largest single-year DECLINE in violent crime since 1937. Attorney General Todd Blanche joined President Trump, FBI Director Kash Patel and a SEA of New York law-enforcement officers to highlight the historic decline.
Preliminary FBI data collected from more than 17,000 law-enforcement agencies show violent crime plunged an estimated 9.3 percent in 2025. M*rder and non-negligent manslaughter fell 18.1 percent, robbery dropped 18.5 percent, r*pe declined 7.6 percent and aggravated ass*ult fell 7.2 percent.
These numbers represent thousands of Americans who were not robbed, attacked or lost to violent criminals. They also represent officers confronting dangerous offenders, serving warrants and protecting communities while anti-police activists continue treating law enforcement like the enemy.
For years, the Left demanded fewer officers, weaker enforcement, revolving doors on prisons, and more sympathy for criminals. America NEEDS more cops, stronger consequences and leaders who stand with the people holding the line.
How many more communities could be saved if politicians stopped treating police like the problem?

It's been about 100 days since I retired as police chief after nearly 30 years in law enforcement.
A few things I've learned already: You don't realize how much stress you're carrying until you're no longer carrying it. The department moves on. The phone gets quieter. I miss the people, but I definitely don't miss the drama.
I put together some thoughts on what I've learned so far, including a few things I see very differently now that I'm no longer sitting in the chief's chair.
